After reading all of the positive reviews about this being a pet friendly hotel that was reasonably priced we gave it a try on our drive down to Florida from New York. The first room we were assigned was a handicap room on first floor. The first two issues I had with the room is that there were burn marks on the bed and that the shower only had the handicap shower head that you can hold and not an actual shower. The second room we were moved to was a "deluxe" room on the second floor this was much better but still kind of gross. Someone mentioned large bugs in the corner in their review and we noticed the same thing although it seemed cleaner than the first room. Overall even having a small pet with us I would have rather slept in the car, although the area near the hotel was shady at best. They do not even let you check in in the lobby at night and instead have to slide your card into a window (should have been a sign to move on). On the positive the staff was very nice
