Some girlfriends and I are counting down the days till we can get back to Maggie Valley. We have reservations for next weekend because.....the annual Herb Festival is that weekend in Asheville!! We didn't want to stay in Asheville, preferring what we know call "our" Creekside Lodge, but did want to venture into Asheville. Only a 30 minute drive through the dogwoods to the Farmers Market. Just love the Herb Festival!

Carol is opening the motel back up this week after taking the nastiest part of the winter off. Can't wait to see her and get in our exercise walking to Joey's Pancake House, then sitting by the creek.

I love Charleston, but the mountains are calling - even with the gas prices high, it's not a hardship on our pocketbooks. See you soon!!

14" of snow, a warm welcome and free coupons for skiing for kids at Cataloochee Ski Resort awaited us when we checked into Maggie Valley Creekside Lodge. Luckily we'd thought ahead to make reservations as the motels in Maggie were near capacity because of the skiing. We were a group of 10 and had a ball. A pancake breakfast at Joey's Pancake House, then off to the slopes. After a day of skiing, a $5 off coupon for Snappy's Italian, then checkers by the fireplace in the Creekside Lodge family area. It was the perfect blend of excitement, relaxing and fun. There's even a heated indoor pool for those who were interested.

While this isn't a fancy upscale hotel, it had everything we were looking for. So glad we chose this over a more expensive trip to Myrtle Beach! We've already booked reservations for Presidents' Day weekend - if we can stay away that long!

My fiance and I stayed at the lodge over a weekend so that we could get married at an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. We really enjoyed our room and the service was awesome. Enjoyed the river behind the lodge and the firepit : ) We went sight seeing ....Such a lovely weekend in the mountains. Spectacular views. We will definately visit again : )

Because my house was already full of people, I sent my nephew and wife to Creekside Lodge to spend the night when they were visiting me. They were amazed at the jacuzzi room that Carol booked them in. They also loved the little balcony in the back that overlooks the creek. They said the room was so clean and pretty. They felt very special.

Spent a great week + at the Lodge! Clean ans spacious rooms. Friendly and efficient staff! Amazing to be able to walk out the front door of your room, to an amazing view of cloud-shrouded mountains! Within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. Also close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Cherokee Indian reservation and many other sightseeing activities! Will definitely return to this place to stay in the future!!
