We throughly enjoyed our stay, the rooms, including the large spa are beautiful and the views spectacular, but the price is very expensive compared to other places of the same calibre, at which we have stayed. Again, compared to other places we have stayed where the breakfast provisions have been very generous, (considering they have their own chickens), the two eggs left in the fridge, were a little on the scarce side.

We headed up to Riverview Rise Retreat for our first anniversary. Most places claim luxury accommodation, however they don't seem to care about your stay once you have paid them the money! This place however is just amazing!! I would call it beyond luxury!! It is a great combination of luxury with the laid-back australian atmosphere!! Wink and Michael are to be congratulated on their retreat! We arrived Saturday night to a gourmet arrival platter, red wine, champagne, edible hibiscus flowers and a huge amount of chocolate!! The retreats are sheer luxury and are set up so well for a couple wanting to have that romatic getaway!! The next day we were indulged with a luxurious massage for two! And that evening we were provided a gourmet BBQ platter which we enjoyed on our deck whislt playing darts!! Our third night there we enjoyed an in-house dining experience with the most talented chef! Meredith prepared a 4 course meal of gastronomic delights!! You don't need to take any food up with you if you are going for one of their packages! We took a couple of crayfish which we ended up giving to the chooks because we couldn't fit them in with all the food they provided!! Wink took time out of her day to take us around the property and show us the wildlife she has saved. I had the most amazing cuddle with her kangaroo, "Blue" who is such a sook! And obviously loves his Mum (Wink) very much!! She showed us her emus, the joeys she is rearing and even her turkey...(no we weren't tempted even if it was before Christmas). I would recommend this retreat to anybody!! And I am already working on my parents for their anniversary in January this year!! Thank you Wink and Michael for an amazing first anniversary!!

This place has been going for three years and I can't believe that more guests have not written about it, here.

We wanted somewhere with a king size bed and a kitchen. We got that, plus a wonderful luxury retreat. We have been traveling for some months now and this is one of the best places we have stayed. Every possible detail has been taken care of. We had pre-ordered that barbeque dinner pack and my partner cooked it up on the balcony barbeque. This went with the bottle of wine included in our package, and the salads and potatoes included in the pack, for a good feed.

We want to come back soon. Lovely views over the Murray, peace and quiet, and absolute luxury!

My wife and I have just spent two wonderful days in Mannum which is just a short hours drive from Adelaide. We stayed at the newly opened Riverview Rise Retreats situated in the heart of paddle steamer country on the mighty River Murray. This was Australia at its best! Panoramic landscapes, spectacular sunsets, beautiful river, peace and quiet... And as if this wasn't enough, these luxurious retreats are equipped with absolutely everything you could wish for, even the latest home theatre system with full surround sound! Our bed was huge and so comfortable that getting up in the morning was a real effort. Our hosts Michael and "Wink" went out of their way to make us feel welcome and made our stay a truly memorable one. We would thoroughly recommend these first class retreats to other TravelAdvisor members.
