“Functional, but not a place for vacations”

I stay here when I visit my mom. She is elderly, and lives up the road. For my purposes, this hotel is fine. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom is clean. There is free internet. If that's all you need, then this place will be perfect for you.

However, this would make a very sad vacation destination. The decor is quite tired/ dreary, and the dressers in each room seem to have problems. Every time I've stayed here, either the drawers are broken or stuck (we're now 0 for three on the dresser drawers). Not crucial, but the hotel info folder needs updating. The TV has limited channels. And the breakfast is... well, you need a sense of humor to face breakfast, otherwise, you're not going to make it through.

The juice dispenser has a choice of three juices. Don't choose the orange juice, as it is brownish and slightly transparent (like it was mixed with the apple). All three juices taste canned and very sweet. The coffee is kind of stale, and you can only lighten it using non-dairy powdered creamer. The waffle maker usually has a burned, crumpled waffle stuck in it. Pastries are a little old (never fresh). I usually play it safe with microwaved oatmeal.

But, due to convenience, overall friendly/ helpful staff, and a comfortable bed, I will continue to stay here. Just don't arrive with too many expectations.

“Average hotel for a quick stay”

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter for a soccer tournament - it was fine because we didn't spend much time there. When you walk on the carpet, it has a plastic sound with each step as if there is plastic lining underneath. It's old and dated and not much is done to help with the appeal - our lampshades were filthy - but the beds were clean & comfortable and the continental breakfast was okay. I don't recommend for a pleasure trip but for a necessity stay - it does the job.

Top notch. Front desk was very polite, friendly, and accommodating. Breakfast was delightful. Was worth every penny spent.

“Clean and friendly”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2011

The hotel is in a good location and the staff are very nice. We thought our room was large and comfortable. This is the second time we have stayed here and have recommended this place to our friends as a good value during the car show season. The rates were much more reasonable than Carlisle hotels and just as convienent to get to the fairgrounds. we are happy enough with this hotel that we have already made reservations for next year.

“$84.00/night is too much for this hotel!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011 via mobile

We arrives at this hotel and were very pleased with it's location. It's a nice area, but all that changes when you walk in. The main area was a little out dated and smelled a little musty. The front desk clerk was very friendly! Our room smelled like the strongest cleaning solution I've ever encountered, almost enough to give you a high/headache! The shower head was filthy with mildew around the knob and area where the water comes out. There were maybe 10 channels, with 2 or 3 being news/weather. The pool was so cold it was unbearable! The "spa" in the pool room was cloudy and cold as well. God forbid you toss and turn in the bed, you're bond to wake up the neighbors, and it was hard as a rock! All in all it's a descent place if you're passing through for 1 night, but other than that pay a little more for something nicer!
