We had a wonderful time. The B + B is spotless clean. The breakfast set us up for the days of travelling we had ahead of us. We also ate in the 'Pier Head Restaurant' the food was delicious. The weather was challenging but we always received a warm welcome on our return from our daily trips.
Thank you so much to John and Elsa for making our stay so enjoyable.
We highly recommend that you stay here.
Kind Regards,
Liz and Micail.

“lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 October 2011

This place is really nice and modern. The room was perfect. Really good size. And the owner was really friendly. Breakfast was yum !
I had booked a triple room but on the day only two of us could go and they only charged me for two but still gave me the triple room which was brilliant. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

“Top B&B”

I'll start with the one little niggle... booking was too easy! I phoned Ireland from the UK to book 5 nights here, the call lasted 20-30 seconds as they simply took my name with no card details, address, or anything. I put the phone down and decided to email them for a booking confirmation, which was received a few hours later.

I was a little worried about staying above a Londis shop in a village on the main road, but that was totally unfounded. The front of the building is very unassuming in Ireland's green and yellow colouring but once you're upstairs in the main part of this business it's well presented and laid out. The many staff we encountered were all lovely, easy to talk to and eager to help.

Our room was clean, spacious, modern, well equipped and would be everything you might ask of a small independent B&B in a village and more. The breakfast room is large with an additional comfortable sofa area with a free-to-use Internet connected PC (wi-fi is also free to residents). If I'm really picky, the cooked breakfast could have been a little better but was certainly adequate (2 small sausage, 2 bacon, 1 egg and half tomato) but there was all the usual cereal, toast or a continental breakfast option.

A quick note for Kinvara itself, the village was great. Walking around was a pleasure with the castle to see, local donkeys (you'll have to look hard for these), small marina type area and a few different pubs to choose from for food, drinks and traditional Irish entertainments. If you want to go out and not worry about driving back to your digs then Kinvara has some good options.

What a pleasure!

Room Tip: Possibly better to stay in one of the back rooms (less noisy from a Londis loading bay or road traff...

“an unexpected delight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

An unprepossessing exterior, situated above a modern shopping complex on the main street - but the interior is closer to boutique hotel than traditional B&B. My room was large, clean, beautifully laid out with a large en suite - and also had a door opening onto a shared exterior sun deck. The breakfast room is adjoined by a large family room with comfy sofa, internet, newspapers etc. The service was good and the breakfast was fine, the traditional full Irish. And the price was very reasonable for such a high-quality B&B. This would be my first stop on any future visit to this part of the world.

“Just right!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

We stayed here on two separate occasions with our daughter, in two different family-sized rooms, and both times had a wonderful experience. It does feel more like a small hotel than a B&B, but everyone was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-appointed, and breakfast was delicious and generous. If we find ourselves in Kinvara again (and we might well, as it is a charming, well-situated village), we would of course stay here.
