My friend and I spent one night at Ashdene. It was by far the best of the 4 B&Bs we stayed at. Absolutely charming person in Jackie and her husband was really friendly and helpful also. My French friend was very touched by the attention to detail, the welcome, the wonderful tea and brack. A highly recommendable place to stay. We were just sorry that we couldn't stay another night due to a tight schedule. The breakfast was perfect and the room was very nice and welcoming. Overall a wonderful experience in an Irish B&B the way it should be. Thank you Jackie and husband.

A lovely B&B with a charming host and hostess. You can tell that Jackie pays attention to detail and has thought of just about everything. The breakfasts were just wonderful with many choices or you may even choose to combine selections from the menu.. She even offered to make us an early breakfast if we had to leave earlier that the usually scheduled breakfast time.

We were delighted with this B&B. The rooms were decorated with a thought to style. We had a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom with a working TV in our room. This was nice but there was also a sitting room for reading or meeting other guests.

Jackie was very helpful suggesting places to eat and visit.

We highly recommend Ashdeen and hope to get back again someday.

I spent three nights at the Ashdene Country Home in Avoca, Ireland. The proprieter, Jackie, welcomed me and made me feel right at home. She spent time visiting and chatting with me each morning . . . a very friendly person!!

My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had a small vanity a tv mounted on the wall.

Jackie's breakfasts were yummy. She served freshly squeezed orange juice and home-made scones. She offers guests a menu with many selections to choose from. I tried the French Toast one morning and it was scrumptious.

This Bed and Breakfast is an incredible value and it's located close to the picturesque village of Avoca. I highly recommend staying here.

Jackie is the proprietor of this home. She is quite lovely. We were greeted with a warm welcome upon our arrival and were served tea and cookies on her front porch before dinner. She was very helpful in offering suggestions for dinner, made phone calls and was willing to make reservations for us. There wasn't anything particularly fancy about her home, but it was very comfortable and Jackie made us feel special. This was our first stop upon arrival in Ireland. We stayed at several B&Bs and Jackie's place was our second favorite by the end of the trip.
