You could not ask for a better location when visiting Glendalough: this attractive b&b lies next to the river, a pleasant, short walk from Glendalough Village. The walk ends right at Glendalough monastic site affording beautiful views of the round tower and ruins. Our two children loved hopping across the stepping stones to and from the b&b (see photos), and we were lucky enough to see deer on our evening walk.
We had two en-suite rooms for our stay: both were simply, but comfortably furnished, very spacious and clean. The guest lounge (with wifi and pc for guest use) was a nice place to sit in the evening, and the breakfast lounge (conservatory) was very attractive, too.
Breakfast was plentiful and tasty: toast, a good selection of cereals, plus hot dishes cooked to order.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Recommendation: if you want to eat at Wicklow Heather, which is supposed to be very good, then do make a reservation in advance. We didn't and couldn't get a table. We ate at Glendalough Hotel bar, which was nice pub food and offered friendly service.
