Ok my honest and truthful opinion and experience, firstly the site, bit remote and walking in Jersey can be hit or miss due to the narrow and busy roads. i would say a car is desirable to get around especially as all bus routes start and finish at St Helier. If you're sporty there are a number of sports options at site, but i found it was no cheaper playing golf as a resident than booking online which staff almost insist you do. There is nothing really for the kids and as for swimming, don't expect to use the pool when you want to, opening times are severely resticted. Bar onsite also has restricted opening hours (but was good when we used it), and there is not much else within walking distance.
The accomodation is high quality if small, only 2 people get a bedroom, others are on the sofa. I did notice this year (our 2nd visit) that some parts of the accommodation eg the shower and kitchen fittings were broken, but not bad enough to complain.
Yes it is very close to the airport but i didn't find it that intrusive and as for woodlice, we saw 2 and only on the last day strangely enough.
The hot tub is very nice of an evening (essential really due to the lack of anything else onsite), if its working of course? which brings me to a serious gripe. I reported my hot tub as it would'nt heat up and was too cold to be usable. Despite reporting it early in the morning, when i returned back in the evening i found that someone had been round and adjusted the temperature then left without further checking, still not working. I reported it to reception again (they claimed no knowledge) and I asked it should be escalated to a manager whom i spoke to and who promised me an engineer was on his way, this was a lie and not the last. I was really frustrated and had a heated discussion with the management, NOT aggressive as i was later accused of. Eventually an engineer did turn up 2 days after reporting and got the tub working. Mike the centre manager was arrogant and even though i strongly insisted he confirm with the repair company when they would visit, he refused. Later a bottle of wine was left in my lodge but NO apology!
All this left a bad taste and of course the kids were upset 'cos the tub wasn't working as they loved it.
In summary it is a nice place but it is accommodation only so best part of £1000 is difficult to describe as good value especially with no entertainment whatsoever. Would i go back? well possibly but as a previous review suggested, the feeling is that you are a neccessary evil rather than a welcome guest.
