The Old Kirk was hands down one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. The owners greeted us with a warm welcome that continued throughout our stay. Questions on what to see, where to eat, what to avoid were always welcomed and answered with great knowledge in addition to all the information provided in room. The facilities themselves were well appointed, clean and cared for with great attention. Luxurious bedding, fresh soft towels! The setting could not be more idyllic, we have not slept in such peace for some time! A wonderful breakfast was freshly cooked by each of our preferences and we were kindly introduced to our tablemates each morning! My only complaint is that our stay was not long enough- we will be back longer next time! Every care was taken to ensure we had a perfect stay. Thank you Hilary and Herbie!

Room Tip: Limited rooms so book early- you can't go wrong with any of them.

We stayed at the Old Kirk last weekend and it was just perfect. The place is lovely, very clean and stylish, and Hilary and Herbie who own it are delightful.

“Luxurious and Friendly B&B”

We've just returned from 2 nights in the luxurious Four Poster room at this beautiful B&B. Hilary and Herbie are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome! They really looked after us, right down to organising a table in a local hotel for an evening meal and provided typed directions on how to find it. The countryside surrounding the church is lovely and quiet and the building itself is very impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and would highly recommend staying at The Old Kirk.

Room Tip: Every room is a good room!

“The best B&B Ever”

It is really hard to put into words the stay at the Old Kirk. I have never been in a place so welcoming we were met by Herbie and introduced to his lovely wife Hillary we then had a tour of the Kirk and some history. This has to be seen the only word I could say was wow what a find I could not believe our luck. I have stayed in the large expensive hotels of Las Vegas, San Francisco and Hawaii they could learn from this experience. We have loads of photo's. Our Breakfast well what can I say it was Scotland at its best lovely well cooked and service delightfully. I loved it I did not want to leave yes a B&B this was outstanding value for money as we are live in Yorkshire enjoy value for money. I would recommend this Kirk to everyone it was a pure pleasure the room was large very large my husband had to get on a chair to shut the window , its relaxing and warming . The bed was huge,warm and wonderful. (we couldn't get it in the suite case) the bathroom was modern the shower was loverly. The view was outstandingly beautiful we never heard a thing it was so peaceful. I no I mean both of us did not want to leave its was such a good experience we would like to know if this ever goes up for sale we would be up there like a shot I can not thank Herbie and Hilary for letting us stay in this wonderful place. Inviting wonderful warm welcoming the Kirk is all of these.

Fantastic stay ( just one night unfortunately) with wonderful hosts, hospitality, decor and service.... Hilary and Herbie went the extra mile to make our stay unforgettable
