Ruby's is an experience. We stayed here as a group tour chosen hotel and it is a town unto itself. Hotel rooms, campground, post office, general store, restaurant...it has everything. The room was clean and tidy and the staff was extremely helpful. There is no real "town" nearby, so Ruby's sort of has an monopoly on the tourist trade. We bough lunch fixiings at the general store and ate outside. We had dinner in the dning room and had a tasty buffet. The more casual food part was still closed for the season, but the menu was more than adequate. Lots of tour buses, so be sure to have reservations and make them far in advance. We saw several people turned away because there was not room at the inn! Staff was so friendly. I needed ot buy some alcohol and they were out, so the one salesperson went to her house and brought us some from home when she went home to feed her cats and didn't even want to be compensated! Lots of senior help who come for the summer and work at the facilit. The manager of the gift shop has been coming for many years for the summer and she was so sweet and friendly. A definitely great place to stay! There is a newer Best Western across the street if you desire a newere facility with complimentary breakfast.
