My husband and I wanted a last minute romantic get away. I stumbled across the Inn Victoria on line. I called directly to find out more infomation about a night stay and spoke with house keeper Julie. Julie was warm and friendly on the phone and gave me all details right up front. I requested a quiet romantic room nothing fancy, info on a place near by for dinner and skiing at OKEMO the next day. Julie was so informative and was able to fill all my requests and more. When we arrived Julie immediately recognized my voice and we received the warmest welcome. It was really nice. She gave us a tour of the home and we instantly fell in love with it. Our room was BEAUTIFUL!!! Spacious and very romantic. Julie and her husband John were very nice... the home is very well kept - all geniune Victorian items and a lovely ambiance throughout the home. What makes the home even more special in addition to Julie and John's graciousness is their British accent... So nice listening to them talk! It's a perfect fit in their Victorian home! The home is in the center of Chester and there are cute quaint shops and a nice Tavern where we ate dinner. It was nice. However, the gourmet breakfast in morning at the Inn was amazing and very delicious!!!! Julie and John we fabulous hosts - not too over bearing but yet always available for you. I stayed at a few B&Bs before and this is yet by far the BEST! We will be back!

Having travelled for 4 and a half hours in a heavy snow storm in December 2008 I decided I could drive no further and pulled up at the very 1st accommodation I came across. It was a beautiful house in the lovely town of Chester, covered in sparkling snow and lit up with just the right amount of Christmas lights. I never expected somewhere so nice to have a room but got out and rang the bell anyway. The door was opened by a welcoming and sympathising smile and a wonderful Geordy accent from the English northern town of Newcastle! (I am an English Southerner, living in CT). I was welcomed in out of the storm and offered a room. And so I met Julie and Jon and found the Inn Victoria!
I honestly cannot praise the Inn or innkeepers enough! (As itsevidenced by the fact that I have been back another 3 times, for various lengths of stay, to ski at Okemo.)
In short, the decor is wonderful, the rooms exquisite, the breakfasts delicious and plentiful and most importantly, the attention to detail given in the personal service is second to none. I have come to consider Julie and Jon friends rather than just the keepers of my favorite place to stay when I ski!
I have stayed at other places in the area when the Inn has been full, the Fullerton for example, and albeit slightly cheaper there, the difference in cost is in no way commensurate with the difference in quality or service. Treat yourself! Stay at The Inn Victoria. Whether to ski or hike, or just to get away from it all for a romantic weekend. I guarantee you will love it!

It was my first time at a Bed and Breakfast and it was amazing. The rooms are beautiful and extremely clean. There are little thoughtful things every where, including cookies or cakes. The location is great for skiiing at Okemo and seeing the town.
The best part was Jon and Julie. They made myself and my family very comfortable. We had lovely conversations which truly made us feel at home. The most important thing to talk about is Julie cooking, the best breakfast ever. It exceed my expectations. This Bed and Breakfast is totally deserving of their awards.

We found the perfect spot for our future celebrations and romantic get away vacations! Inn Victoria far exceeded our expectations on every level. The room we reserved, complete with fireplace, sitting area, jacuzzi tub, extra large shower, and a bed designed to stimulate the sweetest of dreams, was the perfect setting for our special event!

When the excess of snow and ice on the roof prevented us from being able to soak in the hot tub, under the nearly full moon, Julie and Jon provided a bottle of bubbly as a lovely gesture to offset any disappointment we may have experienced - which, I must say, was merely momentary. The spotlessly clean, inviting accomodations along with their welcoming hospitality, smoothed any sign of a rough spot!

After the perfect evening and sound night's sleep, we were greeted with a delicious breakfast - everything tasty and fresh - and the delightful company of our engaging hosts!

We can't recommend the Inn Victoria strongly enough!

The innkeepers, Julie and Jon, made our stay great. We were interested in skiing in the area. Julie contacted ski rental shops for us prior to our arrival to help arrange for skis. Breakfasts were delicious. A very relaxing stay!!
