This is a very nice freshly built place so I would recommend it. Some rooms have kitchens and all have TVs. The personnel is very nice although very low choice for breakfast (Cheerios and a grain cereal).

I found this great hotel just by scrolling down the east coast on Google maps. My wife and I never even heard of cape charles but as soon as we arrived we just loved it! The hotel is beautiful and the staff is some of friendliest people I have ever met Ned and Anna were really great and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We brought our 2 little dogs roxy and minka who are feisty chihuahuas and they loved the place as well! Cape charles is a great dog friendly town and that is one of the reasons we chose it! The town has some great restaurants and a cool little pub right down the street oh dont forget the ice cream store as well Brown dog ice cream. We will be going back next year thats for sure thanks guys for the hospitality!! And I cant forget roxy the dog that greets you when you arrive!
Thanks for coming to spend the week guys - we were glad to get to meet you and the two great Chihuahuas! Roxy is a good name, isn't it!? Come back any old time - we will look forward to seeing all of you again!
We stayed in room 5 which had 2 double beds and a balcony overlooking Mason Ave. The room was immaculately clean. The beds were comfortable and fresh. The bathroom was modern, stylish and also very clean. We enjoyed the toiletries - they smelled wonderful and were all organic. Service was top notch. I interacted with 5 different staff members, and all were warm, pleasant and went above and beyond. The breakfast was simple but enjoyable. I had local artisan granola, pineapple Chobani yogurt and juice. It wasn't fancy but did the job. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short by one night, but I am looking forward to returning with my husband for a romantic getaway.
Thank you so much for the warm words! I just read your review to the Housekeeping staff this morning, so that they could all hear "immaculately clean" and feel praise and pride. This means a great deal to us, both for our work ethic and our job satisfaction! When we encounter obstacles, we can recall all the good will and propel ourselves onward with confidence. Thanks for contributing to that, and come back and visit our little town again soon!
Just returned from our stay at the Hotel Cape Charles and can't wait to go back! We were greeted at the door by sweet Roxie, our new four-legged friend. Ned and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful and our room (Room 20) was FABULOUS!!! Looking forward to our next visit!
We're all looking forward to seeing you guys again, too!! Thanks for being 'guinea pigs' for our new Loft rooms this year - we will be adding some new amenities to them over the winter, so hopefully your next visit will include some surprises!
Very nice hotel with a European flair! The town is charming, locals are extremely friendly and love to share the local history! Several shops with very talented artisans, definately worth exploring! The town offers some great pubs, diners and restaurants! Husbands played golf at Bay Creek while the wives enjoyed the quiet sandy Bay! If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat, this is your venue!
Thanks so much for your wonderful visit and for your kind review, and we're so glad you all had a good time in Cape Charles. We are almost out of the 'beach' season here now, in October, but golf is still going strong, so come back and see us - it's almost time for some holiday shopping!
Stayed at Hotel Cape Charles in July 6 for 3 nights with my family and it was a great time. With a NYC style design and a bed and breakfast feel what more could you ask for. Room 1 very spacious and clean, bedding was great and even the pullout was comfortable for a pullout. Nights were quiet and peaceful.
Ned at the front desk was very helpful the whole stay and ask his for advice on where to go, eat, and do. The Hotel is dog friendly and my kids loved it. The continental breakfast is very small so don't expect great things there but the breakfast/coffee place next door that is great.
Very short walk to the beach even on a hot day. Hotel offers beach chairs and plenty of outside showers etc. Note Tuesdays the ice cream shop is closed and on Monday they ran out of ice cream so we had to head to grocery store to get kids ice cream.
I stay in about 20-30+ hotels globally every year and this hotel is on top of the list now.
Thank you so much for the friendly and encouraging review! The staff is always glad to have a nice review to start our work day, and to get a thumbs-up from well-traveled folks means a lot to us. Our neighbor, brown dog ice cream, almost never runs out of their ice cream - July 4th was a record-breaking weekend for them, it seems! The many local brown-dog aficionados tell us that brown dog ice cream can also be found at the Shanty, Gull Hummock, and Cape Charles Coffee House in case of withdrawal symptoms - next time, we'll have a Plan B ready! Thanks again, and please come back and see us any time!
