After bouncing around a couple different hotels in Granada, I finally settled on this one. Neither of the two previous hospedaje's I had stayed at had air-conditioning, and the adobe walls of the traditional homes in Granada heats up very quickly (and doesn't really cool down). Jerico is located a on the famed Calle la Calzada, with tons of restaurants and night life right up the block...directly outside the hotel is very quiet and secure. It's a family run business but its run very professionally. Better to speak with male owner as the first time I came by and asked for prices the gal working gave me the wrong price per night...only like a $5 dollar difference but that can add up when you are staying for a long time. Normally I wouldn't have haggled but I was a little worn out after traveling for 2 weeks. Once that miscommunication was cleared up the owner was helpful.
The room was huge! There was a couch, large closet, and super-sized bathroom. Best of all was the amazingly wonderful air-conditioning. You have an option of fan or ac...which is nice...and breakfast is included with the cost of your stay (eggs, gallo pinto, drink, etc.). All in all a very nice stay. You can also make free international calls on their hotel phone, and have access to free internet in the lobby. Truly great spot, especially if you have a couple people staying together.
