The reviews are telling the truth. It's a wonderful place to stay, good rooms and breakfast and a superb restaurant. All completed by an excellent staff and service. There was really nothing to complain about. The location is within easy reach of all the hotspots of Umbria and a good part of Tuscany.

One of the best stays in an hotel of my all life as a solo traveler. Donatella, the owner, is always there to help you and make you feel less lonely.

Perfect location for families too with great pool, fantastic restaurant and typical local food.

If you want to relax and enjoy life this is the place to stay!

We were fortunate to stay at Locanda Solomeo for several days. Everyone at this lovely country house was friendly and so helpful to us. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Solomeo is on a hill overlooking the beautiful Umbrian landscape. The breakfasts were delicious and we were served by the delightful Federicka. She makes the best cappacino anywhere! Alessandra served us each evening for dinner and we learned so much from her. Her English was excellent so we were able to learn much about the area from her. The dinner chef, Franca, makes incredible meals. So good that when we would wake in the morning we already were looking forward to dinner! The owner, Donatella was so gracious and checked each evening to see if everything was in order. Sonia, whom we made our reservation with helped us greatly with a huge glitch in our reservations we had in Rome. We are forever indebted to her.

This is an amazing place and we were sad when we had to say goodbye to Solomeo. We hope some day to visit again. We would heartily recommend this wonderful country inn to anyone.

My Mother and I stayed at the lovely Locanda Solomeo Country Inn for 3 nights in April 2007 while touring Umbria. It was marvelous! The Inn was very clean, the grounds were beautiful to view nature and the regional food was wonderful. The people operating this Inn were very nice and knowledgeable. Every evening you are greeting with sparking white wine before sitting down to a great meal inside in the dinning room or outside on the veranda. The wine list is also very nice and reasonably priced. If you pay for dinner, as we did, you get two choices for each course, appetizer, first and second course, and desert and coffee. They also have after dinner drinks for purchase. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this Inn to anyone who likes the finer things in life. The town of Solomeo is small and lovely and a nice walk around in the morning is encouraged. You need an automobile to get around this area.
