I booked a 4 person apartment at the Helios for a short break with 2 friends. The room was basic and clean and offered a good base for our trip. The hotel is well located, being close to the beach, the small town centre for bars or shopping, a bus stop to/from Palma de Mallorca or Playa De Palma / El Arenal and a 24 hour garage for those with a hire car.

The apartments are located in a separate building on the other side of the pool area from the main hotel building. We had a 1 bedroom apartment (2 single beds) with additional sleeping area in the kitchen / living room area.

The kitchen is largely a kitchenette set-up with a fridge, a sink, a microwave, a 2 ring hob and a small 4 seater breakfast table. The room had a TV although with the exception of BBC world we found no other English speaking channels. Wi-fi is available but the signal in some areas of the room was not very good. Really only the balcony area offered a consistent signal.

The plus points were the location, cleanliness and value.

Downsides - although more niggles - was that it took 24 hours to get extra pillows and 48 hours for a change of bath towels.

There was also no kettle in the room so if making a hot drink, we had to boil water in a pan.

Don't go looking for a toaster - as there isn't 1 ! The microwave is a combi grill so you will have to make your toast that way !

As with all hotels in C'an Pastilla, noise from aircraft departing the runway can be a nuisance but to be honest it never caused an issue, even with the balcony doors open.

Hi - third return to the Helios and it was even better than before. There has been a big improvement in the food quality, lots more choice at both breakfast and evening meal. A big big bonus this time was the HEATED outdoor pool, Apparently the system is new, and they heat up the outdoor pool during the winter, which was lovely. Our stay during October half term, was great, the weather was good too and we did lots of swimming in the outdoor pool. We went as a family, myself, husband, mum, sister, her partner, my daughter and my grandson...and all really enjoyed our stay. We paid £230 per room for bed, breakfast and evening meal so only £115 pp!!! Great value, fab location...we will be back!!!

We've been one day in this apartment because we wanted to be close to the airport for a flight at an awkward time. The apartment was partly renovated, the kitchen and the bathroom looked very good. Unfortunately the floors and the bedroom were not renovated at all. The bedroom had a very high window, so you did not have a view and the room was quite dark. The biggest problem was that there was a missing piece of concrete from the balcony above our apartment No. 12. So we asked ourselves whether there might be concrete rot in the balcony. The beach and promenade are very close.

Nice location near airport great bus connection with Palma near beach <100m,nice hotels grounds, heated pool, poor room cleanliness; i expected more in 3 stars hotel, broken climate control system, shower tray was blocked. Polish and English speaking staff. Free WiFi!!!!
