Having had a number of holidays in different apartments or hotels over some 20 years in and out,having found the relaxing, friendly, comfy, clean, no trouble to do anything, helpful management, Gabriel the manager and Jessicia on reception and night porter who are great, Tamarindos is set between the popular quieter marina and bustling top end of the Golden Mile, In a perfect spot, for shops, bars, restaurants, and a mere 2 minute walk to the golden white sandy beach. With a little mini market next door, helpful lady who speak perfect English, to opposite the Foxes Arms and next door the Dr's and pharmacy, more shops, and a stroll of some 15 minutes to the lovely car free marina and shops and restaurants - Don Vito who especially makes wonderful Pizza must be the best in Alcudia. The Tamarindos pool for residents is clean, and joined onto is the Normandias Restaurant, and front entrance to the Tamarindos has some lovely comfy seating. The reception is clean, bright, lots of daily info, and booking available for No Frills coach tours - a very good company to see the island with. The studios are adequate for a weeks stay, really confortable beds, nice size bathroom, and kitchen area. and small balcony with seating & table. Plenty of storage space. The rooms are cleaned daily, bins emptied, and fresh towels if required daily - We have a secrete apartment we love to stay in, but not going to give away the no of it - lets just say they are 4 of the very best !!!! and get booked up a year in advance.
For any one wishing to stay at the Timarindos, I would say more suited to adults then smaller children due to the area of the pool facing the road. The value is excellent, the booking with lowcost travel, or Travel Republic, flight, transfer to hotel, and accommodation was perfect with no problems. Why pay more? I have recommended friends who just love it as much as we do.

Stayed at the Tamarindos in July and found it to be in the perfect position for both the old town and the new. 2 mins to the beautiful beach. 5 mins walk along the promanade to the old town and 5 mins in the opposite direction to the bars and resturants. Rooms are very basic, and small, mine was a studio room with folding down beds which was fine. Maids came 6 days out of 7 to make beds and change towels if requested, very friendly maids. Air con and small balcony. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Pools is small and on the front street but no one takes any notice when they walk past. I would stay here again but dont expect luxury. Its clean and basic and in a nice position. Couldnt ask for more.

Location for this little hotel/ apartments is great, a 5 min walk max to the best beaches i ever seen, water clear and warm.
Loads of resturants and bars close and also easy to reach the old town also a 5min walk to the mile strip of bars, shops and resturants. loads of local shops close, one next door.
Hotel/ apartments little clean and tidy and nice staff. room has everything you need to cater for a meal or just a snack.
Pool very small and facing a main road, but this did not cause any problems.
Just remember you always get what you pay for and has the Hotel is classed at a 2 star, i think you are geting a 3 star accomadtion for the price of a 2.

Thought i had better do a review seeing as they are few and far between for this little Aparthotel on the net.
We made a late booking with low cost beds for a cheap week away 2nd - 9th Sept so were not being too fussy about anything. They seemed ok for a young (ish) couple like us (31 & 37). Boyfriend was worried about booking everything separate, but all went smoothly apart from flight delay on the way there and long transfer with report hoppa (no problems on return though).
We arrived at 5am , there is someone manning reception 24hrs, easy check in, passports taken for scanning and passed straight back, gave the accomodation voucher, and we got our card key and shown straight to our room on the 2nd (of 6) floors, theres a lift and i think there 44 rooms in total (so website says, didn't count!).
Had the obligatory look in cupboards etc on arrival then fell asleep on the prepared beds. The beds are sofa beds, which we knew before booking, not a problem, perfectly comfortable, a couple we spoke to pushed theirs together, they had only been a couple for a few months, we on the other hand have been together 5 years, so quite happily left them where they were!! There was also a third pull out bed. Plenty of room in the apartment, balcony quite small but ample for two to have a drink on, big enough bathroom, only issue was power of shower, very poor, but bath taps plenty of power so didn't bother complaining. Cleaners came in every day and made beds, emptied bins, swept floor and gave clean towels if requested. Also left you plenty of loo roll! Kitchen facilities were excellent, we had a blender, a coffee maker, kettle (whistle one) two cooking rings, microwave, toasted sandwich maker and an IRON! And a fridge of course. Only used the fridge and iron tho ha ha. Pool is clean, quite small but as it's a small complex no problems there. Plenty of sunloungers though sun doesn't come round to it til about 11.30, so all us sun worshippers popped off to beach for the morning (short walk away and beautiful) then back round to pool later. There is a snack bar and restaurant on site, very reasonable and nice food. There are a couple of bars on the road opposite and the main drag is a 10 minute stroll away. There are some lovely places to eat and drink all quite reasonable too. Alcudia is a family resort so there were alot of kids, you 20 odd year olds will be better in Magaluf as there are only a couple of nightclubs here.
It's probably not the best for familes at these apartments as there is no entertainment on a night, though definately for couples and singles wanting a cheap break.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
