We stayed in this B&B for about 3 months for a work project near Didcot. The owners were extremely friendly to us throughout. The breakfasts are fantastic, the rooms are very comfortable, and the gardens are beautiful. Only drawback for me was the location, apart from a (albiet very nice) local pub, everything else is a taxi/drive away.

I stayed at Stapleton's Chantry on my own while I attended a course nearby. I had a room with great views of the beautiful garden, ensuite with a power shower and a wide range of toiletries provided. Great variety of breakfast options, all good quality ingredients. Hard to believe you are so close to Didcot as it feels very rural. I liked the dogs who were friendly but left me alone to eat my picnic supper outside - very well behaved.

We got married near Stapletons Chantry and found this idyllic getaway just 3 miles away. We stayed 2 nights (night before and night of our wedding) and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Set in the most beautiful presented settings it is clear that attention to detail and extreme pride is at work here. We were made to feel so welcome and we had the whole guesthouse for ourselves and our guests. Everyone who stayed with us raved about it and thanked us for finding and have them stay in such an amazing place. Breakfast second to none. Our breakfast this morning has kept us going literally all day. Amazing choice, presentation and a homely environment created for you to sit and relax during a stress free non rushed breakfast time. I could go on and on, but quite frankly if I could rate more than 5 it would get maximum every time. Thank you for making our 2 days so much more special than you can ever imagine. We stayed for only one night as part of a weekend away. It was a really comfortable and cosy room with a high quality, homely feel. Warm, comfortable spacious bed, clean, well equipped. The lady of the house was friendly although did not over do it and left us alone to enjoy our breakfast. My only critism (and I am being pedantic) was that the scrambled eggs were a little under done for our taste (a bit snotty in texture) - probably the correct way to do them although we like them cooked through. Overall, however, the cooked English Breakfast was top notch.

We would definately come here again. It's not your average B&B, it's a bit special.
