This hotel almost received a great review if it hadn't been for the front desk. When I checked in, the woman working the front desk seemed very tired and wasn't very helpful. I asked about places to eat and she sent us down the road. I was a bit surprised considering the hotel restaurant was still open foa a little bit longer. I just chalked it up to a late arrival and a tired staff member. The next day, I went to take a shower and noticed that the shampoo provided had coconut in the name but did not list the ingredients. Being allergic to coconut, I called the front desk to see if they had any other shampoo but no one answered. I waited and called again. This time I reached a snotty staff member who didn't care that someone could have gone into anaphylactic shock and informed me I should bring my own. That is reasonable if I wasn't traveling from Texas. When I went to check out shortly after that, I had to wait for the front desk clerk to finish talking to the housekeeping staff and her daughter.

Other than customer service, this hotel is great. The views from the balcony are completely unconstructed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. They are undergoing renovations but none of that had any impact on my stay. I think if they address the customer service issues they will be heading in the right direction as a whole!

I stayed at this Holiday Inn on Nov. 17-19. Upon check in I had noticed a spot on one of the beds fitted sheet. It wasn't dirty but I felt more comfortable for them to change it so I called the front desk and immediately a very friendly housekeeper by the name of Mertha ( I believe) came to the room to change it. She made conversation and again it was refreshing to have such a nice experience. Then at check out my brother and I missed breakfast. It was actually 20 min past 10am. But Diana at the desk asked Heather if she could fit us in. Not only did Heather seat us and was more than happy to serve us, the chef brought out our breakfast personally. I've worked in hotels a long time and have stayed in many other hotels but this is the first time that I have had such an amazing experience in ALL departments. I hope the GM of this hotel knows what an awesome team they have! :) I will recommend this hotel without hesitation.

My husband and I stayed here the weekend of October 7-9, 2011. Our daughter was competing in a high school band trip so we decided to go along and watch her band's competition. We checked in about 4 pm on Friday and stayed Friday and Saturday night. Checkin was smooth-no lines and we had our room key in 2 minutes. We were assigned a room on the first floor facing the ocean. Very nice room-not fancy but clean and comfortable. the room looked out on the beach and had a refrigerator,microwave and coffee maker. We could sit out on our balcony and watch the waves rolling in-very relaxing. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant as we had lots of events to attend,but it looked nice from what we could see. Staff was very friendly-no complaints from us.The hotel was very convenient to beach-literally a 20 seond walk! Would recommend and would stay here again. For those interested there is a small indoor pool and hot tub-in case you didn't want to swim in the ocean,

We used our Priority Club points and got our room free, can't beat that! We had a King Suite. Had king size bed, sofa bed, a bar area with fridge, microwave and sink. Very spacious room. We were on the 11th floor, awesome view. Staff was very nice. I'll stress again, this is a much older hotel, but it was clean. And it looked like all rooms were ocean front.
