The prices were good. Beautiful view of Hurricane Ridge. The pool was clean (restrooms near it were not). The rooms were spacious. They appeared clean but had a nicotine/dirty carpet smell. If that were all I would stay again... BUT..... The office had a very strong nicotine smell. You could hear people walking as if the floors were made of nothing. You could hear the toilets flush all over. Very old and thinly made building. We had small children and their footsteps (yes, three year olds jump and play) caused calls from the office that the cops would be called. The staff in the office and walking throughout the property seemed friendly with the exception of an older woman who was very gruff and insultive. We had rented 3 rooms and as we all joined in my room, she saw us in the window and made the threatening calls. She made the experience at the Flagstone miserable and we will not be back.

My husband and i stayed at the Flagstone for 2 nights with no problems. The place looks a little older on the outside but the room we stayed in was very nice. Clean. Spacious. They did have a pool but we did not use. Staff was friendly, the second night we asked for extra pillows and was not a problem. They have coffee and hot choc at front desk area. We took the ferry over to Victoria for one of the days great day trip you must do the gardens. The ferry is in walking distance, if you are up for it. We decided to drive down to park. We took the early ride over and new that it would be dark when getting back. (or raining). Something to think about. Great rate great room.

We stayed here for 2 nights in Sept. 2006. Thanks to the reviews read on the web, this motel offered no surprises. It is an older property with clean rooms. Having paid only $58/night (including taxes) we weren't expecting the Hilton. Management who checked us in were very friendly. There was a questionable bedspread which they very quickly replaced for us. A nice and clean indoor heated pool for those wanting some exercise. The room was a fair size and clean which is exactly what we were looking for since we weren't planning on being in the room except for sleeping. As stated previously, the towels are miniscule and thin which is our only complaint. It is "in town" but not really within walking distance of the 2 main blocks of Port Angeles.

We stayed at the Flagstone Motel on our trip through Washington. We saw an add/coupon for this hotel in one of the traveler brochures found at the Victoria Island ferry office. This was the best priced hotel we stayed at the whole vacation ($48 a night after coupon). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We got a non-smoking room and it smelled really clean - no smoke at all.
We were on the ground floor, and loved being able to park right by the door. We did not have a fridge or a microwave in our room so they have different room options. One of the staff in the office gave us some very friendly help finding restaraunts and stores. He went way out of his way to draw us a map and everything. The pool was nice and the dry sauna was very good. They also served us hot chocolate as a substitue for coffee, which was a very nice perk.
