we stayed in the one of the smaller cabins for 2 nights. it was number 7 which i think is called candy tuft maybe... its super cute and basically has everything you need. this was the only cabin available when i made the reservation about three weeks prior to our stay. and it did have a full size bed only- this was hard for me to sleep on since i'm used to a bigger bed. the couch does pull out though. dishes, utensils, pots, etc. are all available for your use. the cabin was very clean when we arrived. we also got a new picnic table delivered when we were there and we were told grills were just that day allowed to be used. they will give you new towels daily if you want them. they do want you do do dishes up before you leave - parking was a little tight, but adequate overall. amberwood is a pretty short drive to the park and also to town, which made it a good location. i recommend this place, it really was cute and i wished we could have stayed longer.

My family and I stayed here when I was younger and I have now been able to return as an adult with my husband and members of his family. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Estes Park because Amberwood is perfect. I love the quick access to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabins are comfortable and the setting is beautiful. When staying at a hotel, I can't wait to get out of the room but at Amberwood, you are free to relax in the cabin. You don't have to worry about getting out for the cleaning staff. Everyone at Amberwood is so accommodating. We loved being able to have breakfast in the cabin before we left for the day and if we had wanted to cook, we would have had the ability to do that as well. You would be crazy to stay anywhere else but book early because as you can tell, this place is a popular treasure!

Room tip: Each cabin is unique so choose one to fit your needs.

This room was completely remodeled and we were the first to stay in it. A spa was added in one corner and worked well. The shower was very nicely tiled with a river rock floor and double overhead shower heads and worked well. The other ammenities were nice including a king bed and rock fireplace. The owner was very nice to us and made sure we had what we needed. We stayed there ten days and prepared many of our meals. There was very little table space for eating.

Room tip: Amberwood is only three miles from Fall River entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park which made it very convenient to visit the Park. Town was three miles away. We had quiet neighbors but this could be a potential problem. Parking could be a problem if all units were filled but this was not the case with us. This was a very quiet location.

We had a great time in their mountain home. It has two queen bedrooms, and a loft with two larger beds. Nice place. Nice people. Good time. It has a full kitchen and a nice living area. Sitting on the porch watching the deer amble by was great.

We just returned from Estes Park Co. We stayed at the Amberwood in Cabin 6, which is a one bedroom, with a very nice kitchen. What a nice, nice, nice place! The Clements were as sweet and friendly as could be. The cabin was very, very clean, well equipped. Dishes, pots and pans, linens, were all fairly new. Everything was in good condition. The bed was amazing. I slept like a baby, which is saying a lot. And, this "resort" is not on the beaten path. So, it's extremely relaxing, restful, peaceful and quiet. And, it's only 3 miles from the Rocky Mountain National Park. Great views too!!! We had elk in our back yard, which is Castle Mountain. I would stay at this "resort" again. And, I highly recommend it to anyone!!!
