I stayed here from January 25-26, 2012 and had pre-booked this accommodation through a tour company. I have found this hotel to be excellent. it is a good location, about 6 blocks from a big shopping centre, although there is a corner store right at the bottom of the hotel. You can walk to Waikiki beach in about 15 mins, and there are some good restaurants within 5 mins walk. Our room has two double beds, kitchenette (incl microwave), a flat screen tv, ironing board, in-built cupboard, air conditioning (its great for this humidity), it is very clean (which is very important to me) and they service your room daily. The rooms aren't anything fancy but they were more than fine for me. There is a pool you can use if beaches aren't your thing and also free internet - it is wired, so you have to plug it in - but there is a very long cord so you can sit at your table or in bed and be on the net. It is also extremely fast, so I don't care that it's not wireless anyway (so sick of slow wireless internet). Also, on the first day we arrived here early (9am) and we were able to leave our bags in a secure place (no charge) while we waited for our room to be ready. It became ready at about 12:30pm so they let us in early (check in is usually 3pm) for no charge. The staff have also been very friendly and helpful with directions and arranging cabs for us. I would definitely stay here again because it is great service, great room, very clean, great location and great value for money. I know you will enjoy your stay here. :D

First off, I need to say that (a) I was traveling alone with a rental car, and (b) I was not into beaches (seeing the historic sights on Oahu on a 3-day stopover, headed to Australia). If I were there for the beaches, I would have chosen elsewhere (and frankly, not near Waikiki, which to me is Manhattan with a beach -- not all that clean and not a beach paradise at all). That said, this was absolutely the right choice for me by far. Yes, it's not modern, updated or fancy. It is, however, clean with good internet (albeit wired -- that would have been a major downer if I had an Ipad as I do now), and much more convenient if you are driving than a hotel further into Waikiki. (Honolulu has very few lodging options other than in or near Waikiki.) In other words, I got what I expected -- wholly acceptable though rather basic lodging at a very favorable price for the area. For my circumstances or similar ones, highly recommended.

We went to this hotel over christmas and new year 2011, the rooms themselves were very good , good size and had a kitchenette area. The only down side was the traffic noise, we were on the fifth floor and were woken every morning at 5am by the tour buses picking people up and the dustbins being emptied.When we asked for quieter room we the staff were very unhelpful. So if you've booked make sure your room is not overlooking the main street.

Stayed here for a couple of days, it is quite a decent hotel nothing fancy just average hotel with a bit outdated already. Seems like it was during the 80's that this hotel was decorated and never really had any upgrades. They have in room lan available which was great, showers is a bit cramp and bedroom is just average. Enough for a night sleep, however the street noise can be heard during early hours of the day. The location is not the greatest on Waikiki since you have to walk maybe about 15 mins. or so before you reach the beach. There are some shops just outside the hotel so this is great as you can buy your necessities like water, snacks, juices etc. The room is airconditioned, they also have parking space with fee.
