I stayed here with my daughter for one night and wished that we could have spent more time here. The reception area and the receptionist were very welcoming and check in was very efficient. Our room was very clean and spacious with a lovely outdoor seating area. The room also smelt lovely :) We went over to the bar for happy hour and they also served food as well. It was all so homely and although we didnt use the hot tub we did see a lot of people utilising it. It is however a wee bit of out town which can also be a bonus, but they have a fantastic taxi service in Wanaka. It is lovely and quiet for sleeping and the units are very well equipped with all sorts of crockery and even paper towels! I would definitely love to come back again and can recommend the Wyndham as being good value for money - thanks to all the staff - you are a real credit.

Just got back from a weekend at Wyndham Wanaka. A very nice place and located a minute away from the hustle and bustle of central city. Closer to the treble cone ski area. We booked a studio (I guess) and it had everything we needed. Although a stove (even a single plate) would have made it just right for us. The bed was great to sleep on but the pillows weren't as comfy as we'd wanted for us. The pool was busy both nights and we didn't get a chance to take a dip. However the night we arrived was the All Blacks vs Wallabies game and we had a great evening meeting some very nice people and extremely friendly hosts, who shouted us a few drinks to begin the night. A suggestion however would be to send a few rounds of hot nibbles (Fries or Sausi Rolls), that would have had us ordering more drinks and would have hung around for longer. Anyway, a small complaint. Everything else was just great. Would we return? Definitely !!

I'll be honest, we totally booked this place because it had a pool and spa. When we arrived, it had a water slide too - BONUS! Room was a little on the pokey side, nothing exciting, but comfortable. The bathroom window opened onto the guest walkway. It was weird listening to strangers talking while showering. First World Problems I guess!

We were a little hesitant booking something before seeing it as we had did that the previous night and ended up with a tiny room! So we asked to see the room before we booked and the reception girls were only too happy to help! The older lady, Tash and Edita were so great and helpful. The bedroom, living room, and ensuite were so comfortable and clean, and the kitchen had everything you could ever want! We used the plastic glasses for our wine to enjoy in the hot pool after 9pm. We really enjoyed our stay, so much so that we stayed for 3 nights instead of one. This was by far the most comfortable place to stay! We had a hire car so travelling into town was a breeze for us as it was a comfortable distance from the town centre.

My husband an I had 7 nights here for our first trip to NZ, we just had a studio room which was nice & quite big for a studio, they also supply some basic dinning ware & a convection microwave so you can do some meals there. We spent a few days skiing at Treblecone & this was a perfect base only about 20 minutes drive. We did many day trips out from Wanaka as well so was a great location. The resort has use of bikes & has a hot tub & sauna. A few little things bought down the overall like the kettle not fitting under the tap as only had the bathroom tap in the studio room & shower only had a sheet which didn't really contain the water well & no key for the sliding door, the parking is a bit difficult as well. They were just some little things in an overall great place to stay!
