The area seems to be underrated with international tourist. But that is certainly an advantage. It is very nice and you can easily reach Islay or any part on Kintyre, for instance, and not very crowded. If you choose to spend a few days here, try to book a room at the Cuillins. At first glance, it might not seem spectacular from the outside. But you will soon discover that it is a very cosy B&B and Isabel is very welcoming and friendly. She can also recommend places to go for a walk or to where to grab a bite. The highlight certainly is the breakfast. We have never had larger fruit bowls and the cooked breakfast keeps you going for the rest of the day. If you are very hungry, go for the kippers. They are great. You can easily walk into the "city center". There are several decent places for food and drinks.
