Its an old hotel. But now many rooms are upgraded. We had gone in a group and we stayed in the premiere rooms. We had taken 8 rooms in one block. Further they gave us all rooms on the ground floor level adjacent to each other. So the entire blocks courtyard became exclusive for our group.
The rooms are large and good. Being new the decor is good and is well maintained. Bathrooms are also of decent size.
Food was average. Many members of our group found the food as a minus point. Especially Dinner and break fast is a let down. Lunch is still ok.
The location is good and is the starting point of the market area. So market can be accessed walking. No car park hassles in the market. This is a major advantage.
Hotel has its own farms which grows strawberries, lettuce, brinjal, chillies, corn etc. So it was fun for the kids.
Considering the rates that it charges food is a drawback.

Room tip: Select premiere rooms. They are the newly renovated ones.

Parts of the hotel has been renovated. The Super Deluxe cottages have been refurbished since the last trip we had made. Of course the name Super Deluxe is misleading - they are the lowest level of rooms you can find at Dreamland.

Rooms are small and with 2 kids it was cramped. Closet space is minimal. But they have a nice sitout that you can spend a lot of time enjoying the outdoors from.

Food quality was better this time around especially for breakfast and lunch (thali). Dinner is a buffet that is a little of many things. I rather that they focus on a few items and make them well. Have a theme day ... punjabi on 1 day, rajasthani on another, south indian on another etc.

The evening snack has been reduced to cookies. Used to be bhajias, wadas etc. many years ago. But then again staying at Dreamland is a non stop eating marathon so there isn't much space for an evening snack anyway.

Decent family stay. We had 3 rooms (group of 10). Great location - you walk out and are in the middle of Mahabaleshwar market and yet once you are back in the hotel you are away from the noise.

Room tip: get a room as away from the gate as possible... it gets quieter

Lovely place Mahabi. Awesome. Have been here like more than 200 times. Still feel like going there at every given opportunity.
- Dreamland is a neat resort. They have maintained the place well and the trees and the peaceful surrounding is amazing although at the very mouth of the market.
- The rooms are good and well kept. The swimming pool was a good.
- They have some or the other entertainment during the season time. Jugglers and comedians and lovely ghazals one evening.
- The food is excellent which was a pre-condition given that we had kids with us.

Room tip: The super delux cottages are the oldest rooms they have but have been done up a bit with air conditioning and open areas. There are executive rooms and premier rooms. Executive rooms are also good. Prefer staying on the ground floor rooms.

Visited with a big group of 14 last month. Dreamland is one of the nicer hotels in mahableshwar but for the price we paid, the rooms (old building) were too basic. I heard the new rooms are nicer but smaller. The bathroom was very basic (no modern fittings) and a bug managed to sneak in and scare my kid cousins. The bed thankfully was very clean. The stay included breakfast and vegetarian meals and the sheer variety was impressive. Another plus-the hotel is a stone's throw away from the marketplace, considering there isn't much else to do at this hill-station. Kids could rent bicycles and play around the property. Guess it's a good deal for people who could overlook the mediocre rooms. I'm not one of them :)

This is an excellent place I have been to yet in Mahabaleshwar and I have been to some..
Hotel staff are genuinely happy to serve you. Food is excellent. Lots of play area for kids. Room service is great. Close to the market. Recommend this hotel especially the duplex rooms, with private gardens. We also enjoyed the strawberry and vegetable gardens inside the Hotel. Thank you very much for making our stay so pleasant!!!!
