“The most beautiful place in the world”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

Two years ago we celibrated our wedding party (two nights) and accomodated all our guests (three nights) at La Loggia. Ever since our memory of La Loggia has been vivid and wonderful, but is was fantastic to be back (July 2010) and rediscover that it is still the most beautiful place in the world. The view, the hospitality, the unique tasteful decoration. If we would do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. The same relaxed homely feeling was among the guests lying around the pool (that didn't know each other) as when we had the whole place for our wedding party. That's an accomplishment! La Loggia will always be a place for us to return to (home away from home). Definitely recommendable!

“Paradise in Tuscany”

My husband and I have just spent again some wonderful days at La Fattoria La Loggia (our third time). This Agriturismo has definitely something special. I'ts a certain spirit, which you can't find in many places (in the world, and we travel a lot). If you are looking for real Tuscany as it is described in books, here you find it. There is a beautiful big garden with views over the hills, the vineyards and the olive-trees. The rooms or appartments are typical and very nice decorated with modern art in that real old Agriturismo. In comparison to that we saw others in former trips, which are looking old, but are not.
You should not expect luxuary (like in a Five-Star-Hotel - but thats not the reason to go to La Loggia and by the way: sometimes the five stars are not worth the money), but you get a cleaned appartment everyday and you have everything you need for real perfect italian country experience. And as I already wrote, there is an uncomparable spirit. A big contribution to that spirit give the staff, lovely Ivana and all the very friendly people. When we arrive, it's like coming to the family - very warmhearted.
We love the pool, it's great! We love to take some snacks from our kitchen and some vine to the pool. We love to relax under the trees or catch some sun to tan a little bit.
Besides all this paradise-living we always do a lot of trips to Firenze, Siena, Greve, Arezzo, Lucca and much more destinations in the area. There ist really a lot to discover, even if your are there for several times. So at the end of this long story, I just can say, that we return again. Looking forward to see you again, Ivana!

“Can't be beat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2010

No one will be disappointed here. I have stayed several times since their first or second year. If you want the amenities of a Hilton, stay at a Hilton. If you want a true agritourismo experience, with extremely friendly and helpful staff (Ivana and others) and lovely roomy apartments in an authentic Tuscan estate, this is the place. Walk the grounds ( and don't be surprised as you happen upon works of art sprinkled around ) and feel immersed in the grand tradition that is Tuscany. And by the way, there is an amazing swimming pool.

“WONDERFULL!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 April 2010

We spent six nights at the Fattoria La Loggia on our honeymoon in October 2009.
We use the Fattoria as a basis for short trips by car to San Gimignano, Siena, Firenze, Volterra. It's easy to get there, but you must have a car (with GPS will be very easy).
The location is wonderful, the staff is very attentive, the view is beautiful!
The rooms are great, the breakfast very good, fantastic view of the vineyard!
Often we spent the day visiting other cities and at the end of the day we went on the market and buying some food (pistachios, cheese, pasta, tomatoes) and we had a wonderful meal in our kitchen with one's own wine cellar of the Fattoria.
They have a car park on site (which is already a saving compared to Firenze).
We 100% recommend the place!

“A beautiful wedding location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2009

First of all, we, as the wedding couple, want to say that this and the other two judgements below are based on a group stay at La Loggia during our wedding in september 2009. These judgements are for this reason not really applicable for individual travellers.

To our opinion we had a fantastic wedding: real Italian, many guests, long tables, good food, nice wines and perfect weather. Together with 75 of our closest friends and family members from Holland we cellebrated our wedding for two days. We really loved it and enjoyed the fantastic Tuscany atmosphere. We want to say many thanks to Ivana and here staff for all the effort and love she has put in our wedding. We and most of our guests had a great stay.

Unfortunately, or maybe luckely, some things that went wrong, you don't hear on the day of your wedding. However, we do feel really sorry about the comments stated here below ours. Unfortunately we were not able to please all our guests. Maybe it is better to give also an explanation of our side.

Around 60 guests stayed at Fattoria La Loggia for at least one night. We, as the wedding couple, decided to ask for a financial contribution to all our guests for their overnight stay. To make it easy for ourselves, we didn't differ the contribution between guests, everbody paid the some amount of money. Besides, we as the wedding couple made the distribution of the rooms and not La Loggia. Some people therefore had to share an appartment with 8 adult people, some people had to sleep on a sofa bed, while other guests had a newer room for just two persons. Unfortunately this lead to the small problems mentioned in the comments below, which we feel really sorry for but were not aware of before or during our wedding.

About the appartments and rooms in general we can say the following. All appartments are nicely decorated in warm Italian style, we really loved this. Some of the appartments are restored several years ago (eg. Frantonio, Sara, Quadrifoglio, Toretta, Zuccoli). These appartments are really worth the money. They all have nice kitchens and bathrooms. Some other, older appartments are still nicely decorated rooms however the bathrooms and kitchens are more back to the 80's. Bedrooms are large enough.

Besides our wedding we stayed at la Loggia two times before and we are planning to go next year as well. The service we experienced is always good. Ivana really wants to help here guests. During our wedding we had the same good experience.

Dealing with a large group is always difficult and mistakes will be made off course. We therefore also have some recommendations to La Loggia.
Some things could have been included in the total rental price (e.g. playing music in the evening, using the large kitchen, make use of personel, free entrance to the swimmingpool for all our guests).
Some rooms/ appartements are not suited for the amount of people stated on your website when it are adults. They are however well suited for families with children or people who don't bother to share.
We had some problems with water pressure and temperature in the morning when everybody wanted to take a bath or shower.
Breakfast in general can be a little bit more fresh and divers. Pay more attention to the breakfast. Maybe Italian people like to eat more sweet things, northern/western people also like to eat meat, cheese, eggs, nice fresh bread, fresh fruit. You have so much nice fresh food in Italy.
Some of our guests behave inappropriately to (y)our opinion. We really appologize for them. However, flexibility is key in these kinds of situations especially when the place is rented for two days.

As a conclusion we want to say that we, and most of our other 60 guests really enjoyed the stay at la Loggia. We really recommend it to other couples who are planning a wedding in Tuscany. To all the other people who are planning just a trip to Tuscany, if you want a peacefull, inspiring, romantic and relaxing stay, Fatorria La Loggia is the place to be. You feel home immediately.

La loggia, see you next year!
