We were booked into a 2 bedroom apartment at the Ria apartments and were totally underwhelmed the moment we arrived there. The place is rundown, the corridors were littered with rubbish and the entire place stinks. We were shown to our room, which the housekeeping staff had literally just finished "cleaning" from the previous guests. The room was dirty, hair in the bed, cockroaches scuttling around on the floor, most of the furniture/cupboards were broken or in some state of disrepair, the toilet seat was broken and the kitchen stank so bad you could barely enter it. We immediately called the office to say this was unacceptable, and were told that they would upgrade us to a 3 bedroom apartment, which was much better than this one (and only 100RM more per night!). Well that one was even worse, so we demanded our money back and said we would go find somewhere else to stay. The manager was reluctant to give us a refund and said that all hotels in Genting were fully booked anyway. However after we insisted he eventually gave us a full refund, after which we left and checked into a hotel (there were several with vacancies...), which was a thousand times better than this dump and basically the same price.
I would sleep in the street before I would stay here. This place is a complete disgrace and it's hard to understand why they are still in business. Never EVER stay here.

The room is really bad,and the workers,are they crazy?
They said there are a lot of ghost in the apartment,know what?that is really bad!!
And the whole night we feel like someone is knocking at the door,pushing the door,
Its so creepy!!! We will not going to stay at RIA apartment next time!!
The quality in the apartment is to poor,the bed has blood!!

I am shocked when I was given a place to stay at this ria apartment by a guy who sells accomodation when u reached Genting if u did no manage to get any hotels in Genting.firstly when my family and myself steps into Ria apartment we are disappointed by the room cleaniness,the toilet bowl leaking,bedsheet with stains,kitchen dirty, sofa is torn here and there. Lastly we checked from that place and we lost $450 for that stupid place.we did not get our money back.such a bad luck

My family and I had just visited Ria Apartment. It has a very very low quality and once you enter the apartment is an eyesore. Ii stayed there for a night and I knew I could stay for another day. The hotel taps are all broken and everything is opposite, like switching the tap to hot water it comes out cold. The reception said that our room will be cleaned so that we can check in but we arrived 10 minutes earlier than the housekeeping. The service was low the housekeeping were laughing when we entered the room. The lift is very very old and slow. It goes to the wrong floors and some of the beds springs has spoiled. Even at 12:00 a.m. its still very noisy outside, all the cleaners chatting. The floors were dirty, and as I the very particular of hygiene, I was the 'Maria' for 2 hours sweeping every single room. Almost all furniture are spoiled and the view is terrible full of algae outside. I have stayed there and I would like you to. Please do not choose Genting Ria or Kayangan. You will regret it.
