“Wonderful location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012 via mobile

I and my husband stayed here for 2 nights in sep 2010. This hotel is very homely though not completely high end it's very pretty....it has a huge golf course where you can get to hire and play and show your expertise :) the location is just beautiful very calm very green...the buffet breakfast is in a huge dining area we got to have a few Indian delicacies it was fine. We just booked ourselves for a foot massage which turned out to be good in a very simple atmosphere. Shuttles are available every 15 mins or so to reach the top ...the casinos the theme park and the rest it's very relaxing.

“one night CNY family trip”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Stayed at Awana deluxe room on a saturday during the CNY.

Negative- disappointed with the booking system. Booked a room (no deposit asked) by ringing the number on the Awana website and specifically asked for a side-by-side room with my family. However, i was not told that the booking is only hold until 5pm,. When we rocked up at 5.10pm, we were told that there's no side-by-side room available despite reminder from my family who checked in an hour earlier. My family was assured that there will be SBS room but disappointingly, this was not honored when we checked in at 5pm.

Positives-
1. thank to the receptionist who was honest about the condition of the one-bed condo, we got a deluxe room which was recently renovated and looked new. The room was spacious and well kept but the cleaner may have missed out on the balcony as we found a cigarette but on the balcony floor.
2. Loved the pools (adult and kid) as we travelled with kids. they look quite well maintained.
3. Liked the complimentary shuttle bus service between awana and genting. experienced drives, clean bus and pleasant ride.

Would visit again but would ask to pay a deposit to avoid the situation above.

Room Tip: we stayed in 25th floor. we were advised to take a higher floor which is cooler and apparently bette...

“Really good place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012 via mobile

Stayed with my family for 2 nights. Room on 22nd floor was superb. Staff are really friendly, quick checkin and check out, prompt shuttle service, great activity area. They also gave discount coupons for food, games, cable car etc.

Would definitely come back.

“Good Place... Great Experience”

I was at Awana on a package tour. We were accommodated in rooms in the Tower Hotel. Rooms were excellent. They were neat, comfortable and spacious.

I must make a note of the wonderful service. We reached there some time at 11 AM. The check in time was 3 PM . The tour operator wanted us to keep the luggage and leave for the theme park so that we need come back only at 3PM, or much later. But I had my mother, and two small children who badly wanted to fresh up before doing that since we had a drive from KL. I put this to the reception / front office and they were so helpful. They immediately got the room cleaned and accommodated us.

I must also point out that I reached the hotel a bit down in spirits. My child had a fever and was not keeping best of her health. We had to return to the room very soon, as she could not enjoy the theme park. After taking rest, she was better and now she wanted to do some thing other than sitting in the room. And I found there was so much to do arround the hotel itself. They have an obstacle course, an activity room with squash, table tennis, and WOW... Archery and Rock Climbing. The staff in charge of these facilities were also extremely friendly and we had an incredible time. Photos will show it.

The hotel has a wonderful surroundings, and if you just want to have a stroll also, there are so many eye candys arround and a fairly good golf course (am not a golfer to comment though).

The restaurants were great. I had two buffets from Rajawali... one dinner and one that complementary breakfast. I can certify both as one of the top ten I have ever had.

On the whole, we all enjoyed our stay.

“Simply not good”

Stayed in one room condo. Though the location and weather outside the hotel was simply superb but didn't like it inside. The room was in a very bad condition, was cleaned properly. The lift gets closed before the the third passenger come inside. The lobby was horrible. And the hotel serves probably the worst breakfast in the world. Would not recommend to anyone.
