“Good but avoid Group tours at any cost”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Boarded frm New Delhi for Malaysia Tour.Stayed here.As the name suggests is located near the theme park in Genting. I went there couple of months back for 4 days. The temperature was on the lower side for the 4 days we were there. It was quite cold and misty but it could not heave upon my excitement. I liked the fact that the room was very spacious with 2 huge beds and a large sofa which was able to accommodate my family. The hotel has a beautiful lobby and interesting interiors in the restaurant.

Again a very good package by Antilog Vacations to KL & Genting. They offer good personal services and low rates not unlike other group travel companies (wont name them) which treat passengers as cattles in a group. One of the groups we saw were fed Indian Jain food prepared the day previous.Pathetic!!Just wonder , for saving 2k-3k bucks people prefer this treatment.Flexibility is the key to any tour.No one wants a bus waiting for you at 7 am coz other passengers are waiting like children on a school bus. These groups are often accommodated in the worst rooms at the back ( to save costs).Forget privacy & honeymooning experience for couples. And add to that Air Asia’s flights..Sone pe suhaga..hehe

The staff kept up with the maintenance of the room. The toilet had a bathtub with shower too. The price is pretty reasonable. Our rates included breakfast. Breakfast was a spread with quite a number of choices including Indian dishes also. Other food outlet choices are 10- 15 mins walk away.

Indoor theme park was also there at the First World hotel. Covered linkway access to First World and escalator is bonus for elderly and children. Location is excellent for entering the amusement park. Get a room facing the theme park for the view and, if you are driving, can keep a look out on your car in the open car park right behind the hotel.

There was a free newspaper every morning and you get a free coffee pack every night . I was quite impressed by the keen interest of the staff for serving the guests. If you need free wi-fi without leaving the hotel, buy a drink from MarryBrown and they will give you a password to access the wi-fi.

All in all a very nice place to stay with the theme park adjacent.Good services by tour operator as well.

Room Tip: Never take the back side rooms.there is no sunlight there

“Good Location!!”

I been to this hotel this year in January.
In terms of location, it is perfect but the staffs(specially the front office attendants) are very rude and not at all cooperative.
I did my online and was entitle for some complimentary benefits, but i was not been provided by the room and services for which I did the payment.
In terms of location it is perfect.
So, if anybody looking for this hotel, my recommendation is to double check ur itinerary with the hotel directly otherwise be prepare for a big shock!!!!

“Nice location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The room was in mint conditions, but we had got a road side view room which was too noisy , thanks to Bike racers racing from early morning to late nights was a bit annoying. I hotel interiors / reception area etc didnt look as grand as other hotel around like Maxims Genting, Highlands hotel, hotel First world, etc I would suggest to prefer other properties than this one. One thing about Genting Highland is the routes to various hotels are very confusing and quite distant from this location, other centrally located hotels could be better if you dont just wanna get lost finding ways to reach casino's, restaurants, shopping area, indoor theme park & back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Do not opt for Road side view rooms, they are noise & of not so pleasant view too.

“Alright place at a lovely destination”

What you need to expect is simple accommodation taking care of the basics. Anyone going with more expectations than that is not going to be happy. There is a sure requirement of upgrading the accommodations. It is well located for visiting the theme park and that is the plus point.
Inspite of proper reservations the hotel was not updated about inclusions of our breakfast which they did sort out later.
Overall rooms are simple and the bathrooms Very simple. Breakfast was good and had quite options for vegetarians soo.
