We stayed at Banyan Tree Macau for 1 night in January.
The free shuttle bus from/to the Ferry pier (to Galaxy resort) is convenient and money saving!
There were plenty of free shuttle buses that would take you to other hotels in Macau, worth finding out before forking out for a taxi!
The hotel room was one of the best hotel room we've ever stayed in even though it's supposed to be the lowest category. It's certainly very romantic. i would recommend any couple to go for a romantic evening/weekend!
The room has a living room area, a pool (not deep enough to swim in but it's a novelty to lie in the pool to look at the views), and then the bedroom and bathroom area. The spacious room is impressive and worth the penny!
Seen the others' review re. noise made by the pool, this was mentioned to us by the girl who checked us in that all we need to do is to call to tell them to switch it off for the night.
Whilst there we had room service for lunch - which was tasty and good quality (and i would even say good value compared to other hotels' normal room service food standard/price)
We also went to see House of Dancing Water which was absolutely fantastic - i actually enjoyed that more than Cirque du soleil.. - though i did think the main character pretending to be the motocyclist was a bit lame... (i found out later on that actually many people were fooled by that?!)
one niggle - the shuttle bus is at the other end of the resort so one has to go through the casino to get to it, but if you're carrying a suitcase or umbrella, beware! they apparently don't let you take either of them across the casino floor....
For party animal - this resort is not really for partying, and it's not easy to walk to other hotels/resorts (unlike vegas). so if you crave the night life etc, this may not be for you!
