I must say the hotel room interior was great. Although the look / design/ concept is still very much 70s but everything is well maintained. We book the East tower standard room (the cheapest category) but everything was fine and dandy. Room face Wynn; toilet comes with a jacuzzi tub with good towels and bathrobes/ slippers etc. They even give u an airport so you can have hot water anytime. Free internet only limit to land lines, No Wifi.

No coffee provided which is very bad for me and hubby - end up we need to go to basement restaurant and spend HKD30 for a small miserable cup of fresh brewed coffee! Wished that they had given us instant coffee bags instead of the free mini bar.

Free mini bar consist of 1 beer, 1 coke, 1 coke light, 1 Fanat Orange, 1 tomoato juice, 1 mineral water, 1 perrier, 2 sprite & 1 Ribena. All need to be consumed in-room. Restaurant choices are pretty limited, esp at the basement which connects to the casino. Paid HK$30 for small cup of coffee & HK$30 each for a bowl of fish slice congee & curry noodles in a bowl slightly bigger than the std dessert bowl. And all this is inside a place just like yr normal chinese teahouse-canteen type of restaurant. No wonder not much pple was in there!

Hotel Lisboa is well connected to the Grand Lisboa (which had a better casino), and within walking distance to the Senardo Sq, as well as other hotels and casinos such as Wynn, Grand Emperor, Starworld, Hotel Presidente. Grand Lisboa has direct shuttle to the Zhuhai border gate. Just need to get ticket from the casino tables first.

Room tip: Bring your own coffee if you need them every morning like I do. Otherwise prepare to pay thru yr nose! We paid close to USD200 per nite for weekend stays, and it is worth every cent if not for the coffee.

Location was good and room was big and clean, but service really needs a major change!!!
We had to spend almost one hour just to check in cuz it was understaffed and people were so slow to handle...

Won't recommend those who believe time is money and prostitution is a sin.(hooker is seen everywhere in the hotel)

At our arrival in Macau Ferry Terminal we find it hard to find the shuttle bus. There is a mini shuttle bus from Lisboa Hotel but they didn't allow us to take the bus because our luggage is too big. Fyi, there are four of us + 1 baby and we have travelled for almost a week in Hongkong and will stay at the hotel for two days, of course our luggage will be big! They keep asking us to take other bus, the bigger one, but we couldn't find it. We search for almost an hour until we gave up and take a cab. If the management policy is not to allow passanger with big luggage why didn't just tell us. So we didn't have to search and wait for almost an hour. We can just take a cab from the beginning instead of wasting our time.

The staff took our complaint and apologizing, and they upgrade our room for free. But the language barrier is very hard, not many of the staffs can speak english well. The hotel is little bit old and the bed is way to firm. But we love the shower and bathtube, very relaxing. The view from our room is also beautiful. The hotel location is also great, 10 - 15 minutes walk to the central Senado Square and other tourist attractions.

Room tip: The hotel is very big. You might get lost. Ask room near the lobby side, it's nearer.

The Good
- Like most hotels in Macau, they provide free shuttle transfer from the ferry port to the Hotel.
- Smooth check-in/check-out
- Got a free room upgrade since we requested for a non-smoking room
- The interior of this hotel is like a museum, there are a lot of things to see.
- The room has all amenities you need plus extras - complete toiletries, clean towels and linens, an advanced bathing equipment (imagine a bathtub, shower, radio, steam bath, foot massage in one)
- The bathroom is black, it's tiles are sparkling like diamonds.
- Unlike most hotels, all items in their mini bar are free, you just have to leave the empty containers in the counter. They also provide free adult channels with password.
- The hotel rate is dirt cheap as compared to hotels in the other side of Macau.
- Very near Senado Square, it's about a 5-minute walk.

The Bad
- The hotel layout is confusing. I could imagine most of their guests getting lost inside the hotel.
- There are a lot of prostitutes lurking inside the hotel. They will approach male guest in groups. They will not bother you if you are with a partner.
- The casino needs some upgrade to be at par with their competitors.

Room tip: Request for a non-smoking room to get an instant upgrade.

I wanted a central location to visit the old parts of the city, relatively affordable, reputable (as oppose to some unknown joint in the city) and readily accessible (shuttle bus provided like all other casino/hotels). All these were true (plus the compilmentary drinks in the bar fridge).

However - the trick was the checkin - I seriously waited a full 45mins!! in the queue at reception just to get my room key, I never encountered such occurrence for a hotel anywhere yet in the world!! The other concern was there was no security for access to the lifts, but I suspect it maybe to allow easy access for the many chinese girls loitering downstairs to pickup and go upstairs to their clients for short stays...
