“Great Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

We stayed there for 3 nights during June 2011 and work has prevented me from giving a review to this lovely place.
The staffs are keen to give a helping hand and always around to either pass an umbrella, open the door, answer questions on directions or just there for a smile.
The rooms (we booked two) are well decorated and very cosy. The deco are modern and tastefully done. It obvious that the management has an eye for small details to make the place personal.
There is free jetty to hotel transfer. The transfer counter is hard to locate as it is sandwiched between many hotel counters. But once you do find it, some one will be there to attend to you. Overall a pleasant stay and do keep up your good work.

I would like to express my gratitude to the staff Victoria who arranged a very delicious birthday cake to my wife. Special thank is also giving to the staff who delivered the cake to my room. I will plan to stay the hotel in every year of our anniversary on September 11th.

“Loved everything about the hotel except from the service given by the receptionist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 August 2011

I just got back from the hotel today and I've decided to write a review before I forget about my experience. First of all, I would like to say that the service from the hotel staff - well, the bell boys (since they were the only ones we've interacted with throughout our stay) - was pretty good. They helped us out a lot in terms of giving directions and advice when we were going out to places. They were very friendly!

However, what had REALLY ruined my stay in this hotel was the service from a receptionist named Angel/Angela (I couldn't really see because her hair was covering her tag). Anyways, when I was checking out today, Angel/Angela's attitude towards me and my boyfriend was not very hotel friendly at all. She told me that I haven't paid for the hotel fee yet and I was confused because I thought that we had already settled the fee when we booked the hotel online. I only asked like, a question or two about it to understand the situation better but she got agitated quickly and started to raise her voice at me. Yeah, I guess it was my mistake for not checking the method of payment before our stay but her attitude was uncalled for. Thing is, the hotel booking was done through one of our parents cos we don't own a credit card and neither did we have that much cash on us to settle the bill on the spot. Angel/Angela just kept asking me questions like: "How can you NOT have the credit card (that was used for the booking)? Where’s the parent? JUST GET HER TO SIGN IT!" despite that I had already explained to her our situation. She had a really bad attitude and she was just so irritated that she went to find her manager and said to her in a very frustrated tone: "They don't have a credit card to pay and they said they don't have money to settle the bill!" The way she said it was as if we had tried to leave the hotel without paying! LUCKILY, the manager took over this situation and actually LISTENED to what I was trying to say but Angel/Angela just kept butting in and kept trying to make us look like we’re the ones at fault. I’m still giving this hotel a rating of 4 out of 5 because of how the manager handled the situation and how she apologised on her behalf. And to leave that aside, I just loved everything about the hotel. The interior design of the room is beautiful, the bed was soft, the hotel was clean and the fact that the aircon in our room is running 24/7 - it’s PERFECT for when you get back from the blazing streets of Macau. I had a friend who was staying right next door at the Mandarin Oriental which was a 4 star and I must say, Hotel LKF was MUCH better than theirs!

In terms of the location, it is good if your purpose of stay is for the tourist attractions because it is quite near to St. Paul’s and Senado Square etc. It is, however, quite far from the hotel to Taipa where Venetian and the big hotel and clubs are as well as the ferry pier.

All in all, I would come back again as long as I don’t have to deal with Angel/Angela again.

(Oh, and about the internet? I’m guessing that every room was SUPPOSED to have WiFi but it didn’t really work so that’s a bummer)

Dear Madam,

Thank you for your compliment to our hotel as well our Concierge team and so glad to know that you had an enjoyable stay with us. I will definitely share your positive feedback with my team.

In regards to the our team member, Angela's attitude during your check out, please accept my sincere apology. We have briefed her accordingly and provide further training to her as well the rest of the team. For the in-room wifi, I have asked our technical team to check all the rooms again to make sure all signals work perfectly well. I am confident that these two issues will not happen again in your next stay.

Thank you once again and look forward to seeing you again very soon.
