The good town centre location and fair price (got a good deal from travel agent) are the reasons this hotel was chosen. Been there several times for some short breaks, including the past 2 days. Acceptable in terms of clean and safe. A place to sleep after sight-seeing or gambling. And that’s all, really.

The best thing about this hotel in location. A less that 5 minute walk takes you inside the Wynn Casino. The worst thing - the hotel wants you to always use air conditioning. If you switch off AC, the room temperature will increase so much that the fire alarm / water spray will get activated. It is silly. No matter how cold you feel. The room needs to be comfortable. Not the guest. Apart from that, free internet in the lobby was a big plus. The price was just right for a hotel of this type. The room was clean. But will not go back. I don't want to use AC all the time. Period.

We got a reasonable deal for this hotel, because as others state, it is definitely not 4 stars. Upon arrival we found that 'to improve quality service for our guests', the hotel had shut down the pool for the week of our stay for maintenance. We complained, and without delay were upgraded to suites, with free wifi internet and free buffet breakfast. Very good. The rooms are comfortable, good beds but the furniture is a bit worn out. The buffet breakfast (which normally costs 90 MOP) is just acceptable, but nothing special. Cereals, but no muesli. Milk, but no yoghurt, very limited selection of fresh fruit (only water melon). The location is fabulous, you just walk out into an area busy with restaurants and shops, 15 minuts from Largo de Senado, bus stop to Coloane on the doorstep. All in all a pleasant stay.

The hotel is marketing itself as 4 star, however, it is definitely not such by Western standards. Lobby and corridors are well maintained, the transparent elevators from which you can see the indoor atrium are nice, however, the rooms are certainly worn out and in need of major refurbishment. Also the aircon would benefit from major cleanup to prevent the musty smell which is clearly noticeable everytime you enter the room from outside.

The hotel has a sky bar, which is a joke. There was nobody in when we entered, just a couple of waiters and the drink options were very limited. That is a great waste of opportunity as the views from the bar are not bad at all.

Location is good, Lisboa Casino and old city hall are within walking distance. Hotel also operates free shuttle to Hongkong ferry terminal.
