Stayed 3D/2N in Venetian Macau and I'm totally impressed by its magnificient architecture and efficent service. Just like many other major hotels in Macau, the Venetian provides free shuttle to and from major ferry terminals and Macau International airport. Frequency is every 5-10 mins and it just saves us alot of time.

“Too fabulous but too big..”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 February 2012

As I am familiar with the Venetian Vegas which is open to everyone to enjoy...guest or not, I decided to actually stay at the Venetian Macau. It seems to me Macau is trying to Out Yank the Yanks...This is a spectacular Theme hotel like Vegas only the endlessly wandering Grand Canal is on the third level considering the ground floor is two stories high. I might be easier to arrive at the main entrance but I arrived at the west entrance and checked in easily after my Turbo Jet ridge from Hong Kong International Airport. YOU MUST PAY ATTENTION when they tell you how to get to your room or you can wander aimlessly for an hour only to end up back where you started. I had to finally insist on an escort or a smaller hotel. All halls, granit isles, carpeted paths, escallators and eleveators are designed to take you to the casino in the center. This is an enormous, lavish but good taste room the size of a small city. It has semi-circullar escallators which amazed me. The Grand Canal is a fantasy replica of Venice rambling around with a sky that changes day to night on a regular bases and the many street lamps and store window lights turn on and off with the escellerated time of day. Looking at the tourists and guest thronging the place I didn't see anyone rich enough to shop in the Mega-designer shops of the world...streets full....shops empty! There are many excellent restaurants if you want to ignore the buffet and the pounds. There is a Lagoon out front large enough to dock a cruise ship (Can't believe they missed that opportunity). My two level suite in the 3000 room venue was bigger than the average apartment...lavish in granit, marble and carpeting with a bathroom the size of a Starbucks. Who spends enough time in their room to justify all this. Good taste...if exagerated is the theme and extreme maintenance...fabulous service and the best stage show in Asia...Cirque Du Soleil's "Zaia" is as perfect and lavish as it get in the purpose built theatre with a totally automated cieling, stage to enable them to perfect each and every second of the show. If this venue is above your budge you can stay at a smaller, more realistic hotel and just hang out at the Venetian like the thousands who do...and arrive in tour busses all day...walking and gaucking! Definetly not Vegas but a fabulous obese version.

Room Tip: Choose one near an elevator and save yourself the walk.

“Huge Rooms, Efficient Service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 February 2012

Stayed 3D/2N in Venetian Macau and I'm totally impressed by its magnificient architecture and efficent service.

Just like many other major hotels in Macau, the Venetian provides free shuttle to and from major ferry terminals and Macau International airport. Frequency is every 5-10 mins and it just saves us alot of time from figuring out how to get to the hotel.

Checking in was fast and efficient. There were no queue when I arrived and they are flexible enough to allow me to check in early even though the stipulated check in time was at 3pm. Whole check in process took me abt 5-10 mins. No hasssle. Most of my request were looked into. Baby Cot, ajoining rooms etc. Only hassle was that we have to walk all the way from the West Lobby to the South suites which were quite a distance away. I guess that was what comes with staying in a huge hotel. Bell boys were prompt to assist with bulky luggages when we arrived. Very thoughtful.

Now, to the rooms. We have booked two Bella Suites and they were huge! Two queen sized beds (good enough for a party of 4) and if that is not enough, there is one more convertible Queen sized sofa bed! Rooms were clean and neat upon checking in and we had the view of the Golf putting course from the living area. Nice! Love the fact that there are two TVs in this suite which means there is no need to fight over the remote control! Mini bar is well stocked. I also love the spilt level living room from the sleeping area and the little dining area.

Next, the bathroom. Luxury Luxury Luxury!! Bathroom doors opened to an impressively huge marble flooring bathroom with separate toilet area, dressing table, bathtub and shower screen! The vanity top also comes with two washing basins and that is truely 5-star suite standard! Toiletries are more than adequate and the chamber maid even gave us an extra bag of toiletries when she saw that we have more than 2 guests in the room. Very thoughtful and great service. Bath robe, bed room slippers, room safe, everything is there. Only disappointment is that the Venetian Hotel does not offer free wi-fi in the rooms. Wi-Fi charges is at approximately HK150++ a day.

As for the golf putting course, charges is at HK$50-60 per hour. Pretty reasonable. We also managed to snap some really nice pictures there. The green course and the other beautiful buildings that can be seen from the course.

Shopping is aplenty in this hotel and there is also a 24 hrs food court with great varity of eastern and western food. Casino is easily accessible and everything is within reach. There is also a Kids Activity Area with a well equipped playgym, video games and pool tables that is chargable at HKD90 per hour.

Cabs are easily available from this hotel and we managed to travel to nearby tourist attractions without much trouble and hassle.

Overall, we had a great experience in this hotel and will probably come back again real soon.

“Paiza Cielo Suites are HUUUUUUGE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 February 2012

My boss let me tag along and we 1st stayed at 38002 - the Paiza Cielo Corner Suite of the South Side. It's insanely huge - 2 big bedrooms. Just to tell you how ridiculous it is, the bathrooms alone have THREE TVs - not a typo - 3 TVs! The living and dining room are likewise big - totally overkill if you ask me. The master bedroom even has its own massage room inside. The toilets are heated and automated - surprising though the toiletries are generic. They are the same whether you stay on the entry level room or on the paiza suites.

On the 3rd day we were asked to transfer to the North Corner Cielo Suite (thats the thing with going to macao to gamble - you may be asked to move rooms to accommodate "bigger" players). i forgot the number but the trek from one corner suite to the other on the same floor took all of 5 minutes - that's how huge the venetian is. I actually asked myself why it was necessary for us to get transferred to an "equal" room - why not give the vacant room to the incoming guest?

The answer seems to lie in the smallest things - the huge double door fridge (which contained 3 items of each kind) on the South Cielo Suite is NOT present in the North Corner Suite - all it had was your average minute room fridge cramped with all the items (and just 1 for each kind). Also, the specially dedicated Paiza Elevator which goes straight to the 37th and 38th floor is near the south side. So i guess the highER rollers get this "shorter distance" treatment.

The price per night is really insane though - so i guess you got to be in a gambling mood so you can get these rooms at a discounted rate (in the words of the venetian - based on pro-rated play)

Room Tip: corner suites have the best views but some rooms are much nearer to the elevators - 38005 and 38011...
