Hotel Rural Casablanca was exactly what we were looking for for a quiet weekend away and we will definitely be returning.

On the slopes of the foothills of Teide and over looking the Valle of Orotava, the views are spectacular. If you look one way you look out over the sea and look the other way and you are faced with spectacular views of Mount Teide. The location couldn't be better.

Our room was huge with a very comfy bed and small terrace to sit out and enjoy the glorious flowers and sunshine. The bathroom was a great size and had everything we needed. The only disadvantage was the room was a little dark, but for the amount of time we spent in the room, this was not a problem.

Breakfast is more than sufficient, accompanied by wonderful canarian folk music, spectacular views and extremely friendly, smiley service.

The area is breathtaking and at this time of year, April, is bursting with flowers all over the island, accompanied by the most wonderful smells. The hotel is perfectly situated to enjoy La Orotava, Icod de los Vinos, Garachico, el Teide and Puerto de la Cruz but you will definitely need a car. Perfect routes close by for biking and some spectacular walking tracks too. We will be back!!!!!!

Definitely not for the boisterous . Great pool. large rooms with big beds. Hotel is tucked away . no beaches or nightlife so you will need that novel you always meant to start. . Also , your car and no fear of high roads and hairpin bends.

The rewards are plenty. Great views of the skies and coast from the sun terrace. It is a good base to tour the north and western parts..Colonial towns etc.. Puerto de la Cruz is 20 mins away.but if you like Puerto you might not like Hotel Rural Casablanca . Mount Teide National Park is also a good day trip from here.

We stayed a week , booked early and got a good rate. The staff were very helpful .

The hotel is perfect if you are looking for a quit place with nice views to the sea and Teide mountain, it is also a convenient place to organize visits to the north area of the island.
Beware: The strange timing of the Hotel services, the staff disappears after dinner, this could be a t 21:30 and there is no bar no anything until breakfast, that is at 09:00 a.m.
No kettle or small fridge in the rooms.

a we booked this hotel because of its nearness to tenerife norte airport. What a disaster. After an excellent stay in costa adeje we drove across the national parkland and mount teide to be impressed by the quiet majesty of the volcanic landscape.We expected from the description of the hotel location to find ourselves in a similar environment "views of Mount Teide" but after a very difficult ,mountainous route we arrived at the 4 star "finca" More like no star.no place, no personnel - just one g i rl who waited at reception, who took orders for "dinner",who served meals,who dealt with dissatisfied clients. The hotel room, while newly restored and well furnished, smelt strongly of must. There was no window in the room and we could not leave open the door to "DEMUST" the room. The dinner ,with its 4 star price,was a set menu - no choice,at all. It was extremely bad value for money and definitely not "canarian cuisine" as advertised. Worst of all our flight was quite early and as we had to leave the hotel ar around 8 a.m. we enquired about breakfast. Oh, that would be a problem - no personnel around at this time. So we had brought to our room at 11p.m. a tray with a a vacuum flask of coffee and milk, a plastic container of cornflakes - no bowls nor spoons, and a wrapped rye bread. It was totally inedible because by morning the coffee was stone cold and there was no way we could eat the cornflakes. So all in all, a very fusty room, a very poor dinner, no breakfast and a long wait while "the girl" attempted to operate a faulty credit card machine.
