Adelaide has a Mediterranean climate - hot and dry in summer, cool and wet in winter. If you really like it hot then January and Feb are the best time to catch some heatwaves in high 30s and even 40s. March and April are good times to visit. Usually plenty of sun but not too hot and very little rain. In winter you can have some pretty ordinary days rainwise, but there aren't too many days when you can't get outdoors and enjoy a bit of sun. Spring and early summer are quite pleasant.
Overall there are no cyclones/hurricanes, very little humidity, no blizzards, no ice on the road and generally apart from the occasional summer heatwave, there is very little 'gross' weather. There are plenty of days when you can be outside.
