The national airline of the Maldives, Maldivian (Q2) was founded in 2002 and operates from a hub at Velana International Airport (MLE), also known as Malé International Airport. The airline offers scheduled inter-island service as well as flights to international destinations. In total, it flies between 11 airports in the Maldives, as well as points in Bangladesh, China, India and Thailand. Maldivian has a fleet of 21 aircraft. Its Airbus A320-200 and Airbus A321-200 are configured with both business and economy-class cabins. Its Bombardier Dash 8 Q200, Bombardier Dash 8 Q300 and de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter Series 300 planes have a single economy-class cabin.
