Disappointing Experience on Business Class Flight from Los Angeles to Dublin the Week of the LA Fires!

Warning to families: My recent experience flying business class with Aer Lingus was shockingly bad. Staff were rude and unhelpful during onboarding, refusing to assist me as I traveled alone with my two small children leaving LA after the holidays the week fires broke out and it being an overall nerve racking time. They mishandled my airline-approved stroller (again!), failed to provide basic amenities for a 10-hour redeye, and made hurtful comments. It's worth noting the young lady that served our dinner was polite but as someone who’s flown with this airline for over a decade, it’s devastating to see the quality drop so drastically. Thankfully, my children slept for most of the flight as we make this transatlantic journey several times a year to visit family which was the only reason the experience was not more excruciating. If you’re dreaming of an exceptional business class experience, look elsewhere—this is not the airline for you.

Absolutely use any other airline possible damages goods including medical necessities like wheel chairs with no intent to replace or help. Literally saw someone having to crawl bc they had their wheelchair broken.

Failure to refund

I and my wife flew Aer Lingus from Toronto to Berlin to visit my son. Upon arrival, we decided to stay longer and contacted Aer Lingus to change the return flight date. On next day, we noticed our credit card has been withdrawn a large sum almost doubled the amount we learned from their website for fare difference. I contacted them immediately. The agent went to consult her superior. She then agreed to refund the overcharge, provided me a claim reference number and told me to wait for coming email in two weeks. Two weeks passed. Nothing. Called them again. Still on queue. Asked to wait for one more week. Called again. Surprise! Answered that there was no record showing refund. So I had to repeat the process and start it over again. They said they would escalate my case to higher priority. Called them 4th time. No progress. They said would escalate my case to higher priority again. After I came back Toronto and called them again as fifth time. Still no answer. Every time different agent received my call and I had to explain my case and answer their questions repeatly again and again. Frustrated. It has been two months now. I wonder if they deliberately use delay strategy to postpone the process and eventually force passengers to give up and go away. The overcharge for two tickets is quite significant to us. This is Unfair!

Baggage Lost

They have lost my demo case and I had to cancel my meetings with customers in Dublin. After one week, I'm still still waiting for a clear update on the return of my baggage. Really bad customer service, I'll never fly with them again.
