Warning to families: My recent experience flying business class with Aer Lingus was shockingly bad. Staff were rude and unhelpful during onboarding, refusing to assist me as I traveled alone with my two small children leaving LA after the holidays the week fires broke out and it being an overall nerve racking time. They mishandled my airline-approved stroller (again!), failed to provide basic amenities for a 10-hour redeye, and made hurtful comments. It's worth noting the young lady that served our dinner was polite but as someone who’s flown with this airline for over a decade, it’s devastating to see the quality drop so drastically.
Thankfully, my children slept for most of the flight as we make this transatlantic journey several times a year to visit family which was the only reason the experience was not more excruciating.
If you’re dreaming of an exceptional business class experience, look elsewhere—this is not the airline for you.
