Our flight was cancelled 5 minutes before boarding. No one had the decency to advise us. No announcement, no e-mail, no notice on the AC APP! Customer service was appalling. No one new what to do, where to guide us. We missed our direct flight to Barcelona on Sept 1/ 24 where we were supposed to board our 7 day cruise. There were 2 other available flights to Barcelona with other airlines that they could have transferred us to, but by the time anyone could help us ,it was too late. They finally managed to get us to our next port of call, but led us to miss 2 days of our cruise and a prepaid excursion. The worst part is they refuse to compensate for any expenses incurred. On their customer service page, they show that they compensate for arrival more than 24 hours later. Unfortunately they don't follow through with that. They did offer to at least refund our taxi back home, but then sent me an e-transfer that didn't't work. Scam , I say. Unless you are a frequent flyer, Air Canada doesn't care about you!…
