Checked in early to beat the traffic on the Southern Motorway. Had a 3 hour wait at the airport which turned into $400 in Duty Free. 777-200 very comfortable even in cattle class. Service was supreme. Managed to get 2 movies in. Bacon and Eggs for breakfast. Nice lumpy free flight and only 3.5 hours instead of the 4 it...More
Good comfy trip across the Tasman. Plane had no classes apart from economy. Friendly and helpful staff and the safety video was a treat. The only downfall was having to pay for movies.
The "works" category: The food was cheap slop, no juice on your breakfast tray these days, coffee etc served half an hour after your food. Later on, the air steward practically slammed down our requested gin & tonics (no ice or lemon and the drinks came already mixed, not in the little cans & bottles as advertised) and the drinking...More
I'm a regular traveler on Air New Zealand for both business and pleasure and I would only fly on another airline if Air New Zealand didn't fly the route I was traveling. The trip today lived up to my expectations of our national carrier, professional, friendly and welcoming. The ground staff and crew went out of their way to be...More
excellent food, good multimedia devices, friendly staff, the flight was on time and it was a comfy frip. good job air new zealand!
This was a spur of the moment rushed trip to Palmerston North to help my daughter with her new baby. Everything went very smoothly, Great staff keeping us informed all the time. transfer
Business class flight during the day (9 hours) Pros - great leg room, great service, delicious food, toilet not ever too busy Cons - seats a bit tired, don’t recline a lot, screen in armrest so cannot be used during takeoff For business class prices I prefer to be able to lie flat. Not so critical on this flight but...More
I'm a loyal fan of Air NZ - a remarkable statement for anyone who knows me. I despise loyalty schemes in general, and deeply resent the implication that my loyalty is a commodity. But I happily make an exception for Air NZ and will happily book with them wherever they go. The facilities are top class, the services excellent and...More
I always fly Air NZ whenever I can. This flight was up to the usual standards of Air NZ with efficiency, friendliness and relaxing being three words that come to my mind. The only teeny tiny gripe (if even I had one) was that the class of Business Class on this flight does not come with the lie down flat...More
I'd just like to congratulate Air New Zealand. You should be proud of your airline and Staff. We started off by waiting for our flight in LA in the Star Alliance Lounge. What can I say? We were spoilt. Food, beverages ranging from the soft drink selection to coffee and amazing cocktails offered to us was just stunning. The lounge...More
