We flew return to LA from Sydney with Air New Zealand (via Auckland). We upgraded to a sky couch and with a 5 year old... actually, even without, it is 100% worth it. for not much more we had a 3 seater sky couch, plus 1 extra seat. Once you get the hang of the seat belts, comfort is easy....

Pleasant flight. Good service - cabin crew friendly and obliging. Food standard for airline food. Check-in efficient - staff around to assist with self-check-in.

We had a RT ticket HNL-AKL for $1012 and trying to make a change. The change fee published for international flights is $100, but the small print on our fare change is $200 change fee. PLUS there is a "service charge" of $50! We would have gone to the ticket counter, but the ticket counter does not process changes. Therefore...

I think our flight was about 90 mins long. It was nice and very comfortable. I had enough leg room to stretch my legs. The pilot took off and landed smoothly. The flight attendant served me cookies and rice crackers with a cup of water - which I couldn't understand why that impressed me the most. I guess it's because...

Flew from Wellington to Auckland on the 10.15 am out of Wellington. Flight attendants were very attentive and friendly, nothing was too much bother. My son who is autistic is very much into planes and the staff all stood for a photograph with him when we landed. Needless to say he was delighted. Seats were comfy and there was plenty...

Nothing impressed me at all flying Air NZ. Firstly, the boarding pass had the wrong gate on it, the plane was delayed, seating cramped beyond the norm and online checkin not working. Staff are quite friendly but it gets ridiculous after countless boarding pass checks to be asked again upon entering the plane. I asked why and was told they...

On a small plane our travel group of 14 people joined other passengers, many of them locals, for the brief journey. We were served coffee, tea and non-alcoholic beverages free of charge; and alcoholic drinks were available for a fee. I struck up an easy conversation with a 'Kiwi' woman seated next to me and we engaged in friendly chatter...

Ok, so I AM biased. I do PREFER flying Air New Zealand, but I have travelled many airlines over quite a long period of time and to be honest most are good but I always find Air New Zealand is fantastic. This trip was no exception. The flight left later than scheduled due to an Airport hold up, but the...

Recently traveled to New Zealand from Australia. We flew Virgin to Melbourne for Stopover then Air New Zealand to Queens Town and also domestic flights while in New Zealand. Our return flight was direct from Auckland to Perth, we had pre-booked this flight with Virgin Australia which uses Air Zealand. The service was fantastic, lots of extra legroom comfortable seats...

I do like Air Newzealand. Good Crew who dealt with some very rude passengers brilliantly. Good food and ok drinks. Entertainment was good. Seats ok but not too comfortable for a long flight.
