China Southern Airlines is probably a better airline out of the others in China, but there are somethings that are quite confusing. China Southern doesn't have every day flight out of LAX airport. So book on the dates that China Southern operates. The bathrooms were very clean. The crew members are really nice, the food was good, IFE was great. The only set back is the booking on the days they fly out of LAX.

Excellent airline for the money

Southern China airlines. Wow. To honest didn't expect much on this flight. But it was amazing flight so relaxing. Meals was good drinks good. Airline steward heirs so good And helpful. I've flown on Emirates all the while. But China airlines are matching in every step of the way. If not better. Well done to china southern airlines. Thanks for a great flight and the return just as good.

Excellent experience

This was my first experience with China Southern Airlines for a long-haul flight to Europe and back to Australia, and I was initially quite concerned. About six months ago, we flew to Europe with Philippine Airlines, and unfortunately, both the outbound and return journeys were terrible. Given that China Southern is considered a budget airline, I had similar concerns. However, our experience exceeded all expectations! Despite having a long layover, we didn’t need to collect our luggage—it was checked through to our final destination in Europe, which made things much easier. The entire flight was incredibly smooth, with no turbulence at all, and the level of comfort was impressive. The cabin crew were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and always had a warm smile. The meals, while not outstanding, were definitely tasty and satisfying. On our return to Sydney, we had another long layover, and the airline arranged a hotel for us, ensuring we were well taken care of throughout the process. We sincerely appreciate the outstanding service from China Southern Airlines—thank you for making our journey so comfortable and enjoyable!

Overall good experience with this airline

Our flight was excellent, it left on time, good communication from the airline, our food was great, and the staff were friendly. To point out any negatives - the English announcements are softer than the Chinese announcements, but they do announce you just have to make sure to listen. Our family was spread out on our return flight (as were others), but we were together on the way to Guangzhou. I am not sure why this happened, so if you don't like being spread out this is something to consider - make sure you ask this at the counter when you check in. I became a member of Sky Pearl before we went on our trip, all of our flights were added, except mine. I called the help line and the email correspondence is excellent, but the website is not that easy to use. Would I fly with them again? Definitely!
