Florida-based Spirit Airlines (NK) flies nonstop to over 90 destinations in the United States, Caribbean, Central and South America. The carrier flies an all-Airbus fleet which is one of the youngest and most fuel-efficient in the U.S. Planes are configured with Economy Class seating as well as Big Front Seats. Spirit's business model provides the best value in the sky by allowing their Guests to customize their trip and pay only for the options they choose such as bags, seat assignments, inflight Wi-Fi and refreshments. Lovely staff, clean planes, on schedule and low cost

I had to catch an unexpected last minute flight to LGA NY, had to go cheap, there for one day, pajamas, toothbrush, laptop in brief case. It was a 5am flight and guess what i MISSED it. Stood at closed gate in shock at myself for being late… then ‘ding’ - the 530 flight to Newark is about to close. Newark is a good airport for NYC. I spoke to a very accommodating and sympathetic lady called JOCELYN and as far as i can tell her best friend, a young man. No fuss, no problem, i felt like a VIP and they wanted to help. I’m on the plane, the other customers are nice, the staff are great, the plane is clean and it’s all good. For this type of trip i cannot fault it. I’ll be going back and forth to NY, so I’ll probably sign up to whatever loyalty scheme they offer…. Nice job Jocelyn and Spirit!

Awful airline

If I could give zero stars, I would. Spirit is the worst airline I have ever experienced. Due to their incompetence, we missed our connecting flight home. We then sat for over an hour in rebooking to be told that there were no flights for 2 days so we could either take that flight or get a refund and find our own flight with another airline. We opted for a refund as we could not wait in Florida for another 2 days. Spirit is now telling us we will not be getting a refund despite being told this by their employee at the rebooking kiosk. Awful planes and awful service. Total scam. I can see why they are bankrupt. Do not use this airline.
