Located 11 miles west of downtown New Orleans, the New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is the primary airport serving southeast Louisiana. The airport has one terminal divided into two facilities (East Terminal and West Terminal), with four concourses, as well as two runways. About 15 commercial carriers fly to and from the New Orleans International Airport. The majority of flights are to domestic destinations across the United States, with a limited number of flights to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. In 2014, MSY had handled about 9.8 million passengers.
