Located about halfway between Midland and Odessa, Texas, the Midland International Air and Space Port (MAF) is the eighth-busiest airport in Texas. Its name reflects the fact that it the first facility in the United States that's licensed for both commercial airline flights and commercial spaceship flights. The airport has four runways and a single terminal. Ground transportation options include several taxi companies and shared-ride shuttle service, as well as long-distance bus service and free hotel shuttles. Several rental car companies also have onsite counters. American Eagle, Southwest Airlines and United Express operate at the airport, offering non-stop flights between Midland Airport and six destinations in Texas, Colorado and Nevada.
