Review of James Long Pub

The attitudes from the staff are appalling in this establishment. I understand that it might be busy but to wave your hand towards the door and say “we’re full” and storm off is a bit much for someone who’s being paid to do a job. This was a young girl with dark hair. This embarrassing treatment would really make me question going back here even when I have had a good experience here before.

We loved our stay. The newly refurbished rooms were amazing. The staff and service was top notch. And we had lovely breakfast. We would definitely stay again. Kids loved the pool. Special thank you to the reception staff for the allocation and warm welcome

Review of Base Dingle

Spacious and clean rooms, friendly staff and grocery store next door. Room only concept so no breakfast but they look to be building that next door. We loved that we could park and then walk everywhere in town with no issue. Being right downtown was nice, and it was a quiet hotel with an IKEA like vibe in the room’s decor.

My husband and I booked the private walking tour at Kingdom Falconry. The weather was very cold and very windy that morning. Our guide, Niamh, brought out Clive, the handsome Harris Hawk for us to work with. He wasn't thrilled with the wind gusts and cold haha. We cut our walk short, but we were able to meet Buzz the barn owl and hold him. Niamh took us into one of the aviaries where we got to meet more of the birds, which was fun. I love birds of prey, so getting close to so many of them and learning about them was a treat. Even though our excursion did not go according to plan, it was a fun time.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at OOTB recently. We had never eaten hake, and greatly enjoyed the dish. We got mussels as a starter and each got dessert. all the food was excellent and the service was very good.

We stayed at Greenmount House two nights in early March. The room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was great. The shower was hot and the water pressure was very good. Toiletries and a hair dryer are provided. Breakfast is included, and was amazing. The service was excellent. The house is located an easy walk away from downtown Dingle, and has amazing views of the harbor. There is also private parking.

The staff were friendly & probably worn out after st patricks parade. We ordered a chowder which unfortunately was very poor quality. Watery with very little fish lots mussels but didn't look appetising. 😕 I left most of it uneaten.

The best candy store for me! Beautiful decoration, friendly service, large selection of sweets for every taste. It will be interesting here for both adults and children! An unusual assortment and taste familiar to us from childhood.

Ryan ( from Begley’s) helped us out with travelling from Kerry Airport to Dingle for a large stag do. There were several pick ups over several days to and from
the airport. Each time the cab/minibus was early to pick us up and the driving was safe and comfortable. Prices were good too, can’t recommend enough. Next time we are over- will be using Begleys.
Thanks Ryan!!

My trip to the candy store was a delightful experience. The owners were very friendly, and the store had a great variety of products. I found a wide range of candies and sweets, making it perfect for personal treats or gifts for loved ones. Overall, it left me feeling positive and eager to visit again.

My daughter and I went to solas for lunch and had an incredible experience. The tapas were divine so so full of flavour and the service was so warm and welcoming. My wineglass fell and broke and immediately it was replaced with another glass of wine! I can’t wait to go back again!

Everything about Heaton’s is wonderful. From the minute you enter the door you are welcomed by David/staff. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and, of course, very clean. No problem sleeping on the comfortable mattress and pillow. The nightly chocolate might have helped. The breakfast….not enough superlatives or words to describe. Cold buffet items but the cooked items must be experienced. From omelettes to Eggs Benedict and many other delicious choices. The highlight, for me, Bread Pudding. Could have made a meal of it. White linen tablecloths/napkins. Every afternoon delicious chocolate cake and tea/coffee are available.
