- FriedaGraz00VacationThis bike tour is a MUST if you’re visiting Tokyo! The tour is an all day excursion, but don’t be intimidated ! You’re not riding that entire time. It’s a tour of the whole Tokyo and you just use the bikes to get around (which is beautiful and so fun in it of itself). He takes you to many things you’d want to see and explains everything about it! His English was amazing as well so that helped too! My husband and I definitely recommend! He also takes great pictures and emails them to you the same day! Please do this !!! (The riding gets tiring a little towards the end but it’s so fun and worth it)

I would highly recommend doing this bike tour whilst in Tokyo. We booked it for our first day and it was a great introduction to the city. Booking online was easy and instructions for the meeting place sent by Gaku were simple to follow. The bikes were in excellent condition & riding through the city streets was much easier than anticipated due to Gaku's experience. We covered a lot of ground and visited major attractions such as Meiji Jingu shrine, Roppongi Hills, ride round the Imperial Palace & a lovely lunch, bought from a deli, at the waterfront. The day finished at the Tokyo Government Blg observation deck. Gaku was very informative and it was good to do a small group tour. Highly recommended and thank you Gaku for a wonderful first day in Tokyo.

We did a bike tour with Gaku and had a wonderful time! He knows the city like the back of his hand and was able to give us a unique and comprehensive tour of Tokyo. He is easy to converse with, very friendly, and thoughtful! He’ll do his best to tweak various aspects of the trip to complement what you’re looking for. This was such a great way to see numerous neighborhoods throughout the city. Furthermore, having Gaku explain the backstory and history behind each spot really transforms your understanding and appreciation of the city. There were also a lot of things on the tour that i would otherwise never have known about! One of my favorite experiences in Tokyo!!
He’s also a pro at taking pictures of you while he’s on his bike. At the end of the day, he emails you numerous shots of you biking through Tokyo!
He gives good directions, so it’s easy to meet up with him at the beginning of the ride. The bikes are well maintained and ride smoothly. The bike routes are easy. Gaku is a good guide and easy to follow.

Highly recommend. Our tour guide, Gaku, was very fun, interesting, and knowledgeable. We asked him a million questions and he always had a great answer. He's a Tokyo native, but he's worked for a western company so his English is very good. Gaku has a fascinating life - ask him about it. He spent 4 months developing the tour route and it shows because it was a great overview of the city. He takes you off the beaten path to places that we otherwise wouldn't have found as tourists. He also took nice pictures of us at the locations and while riding.
We're late twenties, moderately active people - we didn't break a sweat on a cool day in February, but it was nice to stay active versus something like a bus tour. Bikes road smoothly, were lightweight, and were well-maintained. Worth every penny.

This was the most amazing tour imaginable. I can't even begin to express my gratitude. Gaku ist the kindest guide you could wish for, who will adapt the tour and it's pace accordingly to your needs and wishes.
As a professional cyclis, he knows his way around the city so well, you will feel in very safe hands. Every stop only seemed to be a 5-10 minute cycle apart, so the tour was the perfect mix between experiencing a variety of interesting sights and having nice cycles around Tokyo's streets in between. Gaku made sure to stay off the main roads as much as possible, which made the tour very calm, and easy to look around you and take in the scenery all from the saddle.
We went from little neighborhood shrines to the very big ones such as Meiji Jingu, learned about Japanese religions and customs, experienced famous shopping districts, the emperor's palace, tried some delicious treats along the way and had obento lunch by the Tokyo bay. The day ended with the most amazing top view of Tokyo, where we even caught a glimpse of the sunset.
This tour was not only packed with intricate information but also very personal and adapted to me as a person. We managed to cycle around the whole city, all while having all my questions answered along the way, including the wider contextual history attached to all the spots. Any questions I had, Gaku went out of his way to find out exactly what I wanted to know. I was incredibly impressed by his dedication to offer the best possible experience for his attendee. It's definitely not something to take for granted, and in this way, I just wanted to say how much I appreciated this!
Thank you so much Gaku for such an incredible day. I felt like I experienced a month's worth of sightseeing in just one day, while having fun and feeling very well looked after. I would 100% recommend this tour!!

We did this on our first full day in Tokyo and it was an amazing experience and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get an overview and understanding of the Tokyo landscape, an insight into Japanese culture and to learn interesting facts and history about Tokyo and Japan.
Gaku, our guide was awesome! He was very knowledgeable, kind and funny! He ensured that we were always comfortable (even offered additional gloves when a member of our group had cold hands) and kept a good pace for everyone on the ride. He gave plenty of information at each stop while always answering any question we had with a lot of detail. Gaku also always ensured we spent more than enough time at each landmark spot and we were never rushed.
Gaku also asked us if we wanted our photos taken during the ride and we did. The photos are great and he took plenty! He sent them through email after the ride.
The ride itself is over 30km and takes you to major landmarks around Tokyo. This may sound like a lot to some but the ride overall was very leisurely and mostly flat surface riding. For our lunch Gaku took us to a local grocery store for us to buy some delicious food (ask Gaku for delicious recommendations).
For anyone coming to Tokyo this is a great introduction and a must do!

We spent a wonderful day with Gaku. He is a delightful, helpful and very kind guide. He took us on a flat route which gave a sense of Japanese life off the tourist path. We loved cycling through the narrow lanes and taking in the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Sometimes you miss this using the below ground trains. Gaku gave us a lot of useful information about Japanese culture, history and tips on food. We enjoyed choosing our lunch and Gaku steered us to some great inexpensive dishes. I would strongly encourage anyone coming to Tokyo to give this tour a go.

This is by far the best thing I’ve done in Tokyo! Gaku is an incredibly friendly guide who has lived in Tokyo his whole life and is a wealth of knowledge about the city and its sights. He is also very good about making sure you have enough water have restroom opportunities and aren't getting too tired. Shrines, parks, the Imperial Palace, observation decks, lunch by the harbor and other stops along the way; all made this an unforgettable experience and well worth the cost. This also a great way to find areas you may want to visit at greater length on another day! I’d give it 6 stars if I could!

The best way to get to know a city is by bike. Today's cycling tour of Tokyo is a good example of this. It was my first time riding a road bike, and it felt and looked light, with narrow tires but a large wheel diameter. The guide chose the right size and height for me, as well as a helmet and gloves. Our guide, Gaku, is a Japanese and professional mountain cyclist, so he could turn around and take pictures of us when cycling. With his body finely balanced, he not only took pictures but also looked at the footage, not worrying about the road ahead or holding the handlebars. The whole route is clear and covers many attractions, as well as many shrines and parks that only locals know about but are not on the map. The scent of soil and trees wafted through the ginkgo leaf-covered roads as I cycled through them. Tokyo in winter was so beautiful, with its vast array of landscapes. We also shuttle through many alleys, like the anime movie, very gentle uphill and downhill, intricate telephone poles, narrow roads and passers-by in a hurry. It was great to have a tour guide, who would explain the history and features of the site and show photos of the night scenery. I also learned the difference between a shrine and a temple, although most Japanese never distinguish between the two. The guide also chatted with me, and we chatted about the food in Hong Kong, my plans in Tokyo, and so on. It was a very comfortable chat. He listened carefully and spoke carefully. When I passed Yoyogi Park, Imperial Palace, Ginza and other places, I thought it would be perfect to ride through them. To truly feel and appreciate the street scene, but not too slow, delay time and suffer a lot of cold.

Gaku was an amazing guide, providing so much of the cultural and historical facts of each site we visited. He is knowledgeable, pleasant, attentive, great communication skills and a great bike rider and photographer.
This is a must do tour! Don't worry about the length (approx. 6 hours) - you will be visiting and learning so much that time will fly really quickly. I cannot recommend this tour enough to someone that is able to ride a bike and not afraid of riding on the streets.

Gaku-san, the Tour Guide, is the owner of the Tour Company and his personal touch in ensuring excellent service was very evident. He was endearing, friendly and very helpful. He ensured safety of the group at all times and explained the sites and spots very well. I would definitely recommend this tour for all tourists wishing to see Tokyo on a cyclist’s point of view!

I am a foreign Canadian and want to visit Japan but am unable to without being registered with a tour. If I book can this tour be used to allow me entry into Japan by your organization providing some type of letter that I can present to Japanese Customs when entering Japan?
