- carmen_cachon00One of the highlights of our tripThe tour was amazing. The guide Venosha explained how the mangrove was formed, the wildlife that lives in it and how each of them contributes to maintain the mangrove, all while being respectful and caring with nature. They also raise awareness about other tours that feed animals to get closer, damaging the balance of the whole ecosystem. Would definitely recommend it to everyone that wants to learn and enjoy nature. Loved it!
- travel_vio00Best guided tour we ever didWe went on the UNESCO Mangrove Tour and had the best experience we could imagine. Our guide Venosha was an complete expert! She explained everything so detailed and gave us so much background information. Moreover, she always took care that our tour didn’t take a negative impact on the nature. She made us aware of wildlife and how to treat it with respect. I would recommend this tour to everybody I know! A true insider tip and completely different compared to the other tours which are not informative and full of tourists. The experience we made with Venosha was unique!
- G S00Amazing island hopping tour with the best guideWe had such a brilliant trip on the island hopping tour! We were able to see the eagles and kites and because we were on an afternoon tour, were virtually alone to swim at the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden. Our guide, Venosha, was wonderful and so knowledgeable about the wildlife and surroundings. Would definitely recommend this company, as they operate in an eco friendly way and we had an amazing experience!
- wheresjo00Fantastic tour with awesome guideEverything from booking (at the last minute over WhatsApp) to the tour itself was really smooth. Venosha was our guide and her love for natural history of the park made this tour a 5 star experience. I have done mangrove routes before in other parts of the world but learnt so much on this own due to her enthusiasm. We saw crabs, mudskippers, bats, mocacques and langurs, and even a viper sleeping on the sea - and learnt how they all are part of the mangrove eco system. Loved the focus on ethics - no feeding of kites or monkeys here. Just the mind ! Keep up the good work junglewalla
- E9539OLhannahr00An Enlightening ExperienceThe naturalist Venosha is very passionate about the ecosystem and shared an abundance of information on it during the tour. I learnt so much about mangroves, limestones and eagles just on this short tour. Definitely a worthwhile experience and would recommend everyone to do it 👍🏾
- leepV4413DQ00Kayaking, swimming and great hornbills in a beautiful mangroveWe went with Shaf, who was an absolute delight and very knowledgeable about the entire area. We loved the kayaking and the cave trip was fascinating - we weren't expecting to see thousands of bats! The accompanying boat took us to an actual paradise island for a short swim. This along with spotting sea eagles and great hornbills (we're big bird fans) was the absolute highlight of our trip to Langkawi. The food on the floating platform was excellent, much more and much better quality than we expected. All in all, cannot recommend this tour enough. The best tour we've ever been on. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!
- bluegreendragon00UNESCO Global Geopark Mangrove CruiseAn amazing morning exploring the mangroves. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable - we learned so much more than we ever expected. Thanks to our friendly driver also who found some hidden treasures. Highly recommended tour company who has great respect for the environment.
- cherzzie00Educational and fun eco tourism!Venosha from Junglewalla was very knowledgeable about the mangrove ecosystem. She was especially sweet and accommodating to my child's endless requests and questions too. Special stops were made when snakes and lizards were spotted along the trip. We are proud to have joined a tour operator which do not encourage unnatural animal behaviour by feeding the eagles and monkeys. It was unfortunately not a pleasant sight seeing other tourists bring all kinds of human food to feed the wildlife, wondering how it might negatively impact the animals' health.
- Inspire6469714215800Awesome tour!Great tour, amazing exeprince. It includes Kayaking, a walk in the forest, chilling/swimming in a quite island and a delicious lunch! highly recommend as its also an exciting safe experince.
- anagJ6630BT00Absolutely amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟The experience was incredible! Our guide from Junglewalla Venosha was amazing, her knowledge about all the animals and the rocks, the history of how come those rocks appeared was absolutely enlightening. We learned so much with her. We are very grateful for all the detailed information she gave us. Spread the #donotfeedtheeagles#protecttheearth
- Discover2987921737600Junglewalla rainforest walkThe Rainforest Walk took about two hours and was led by Shafwan, our very well informed and helpful guide. Shafwan told us a lot about trees, animals, birds, insects, and more, and stopped regularly to point out items of interest and to explain what we were seeing. He helped us to have some sense of the complexity of the rainforest. The walk is not very strenuous but you do need to be reasonably fit. This was an excellent experience. Enjoyable and informative and I recommend it in the strongest terms.
- PappanMajumdar00Great and educative bicycle tour which ends with a bath in a waterfall! We booked this Junglewala tour through Get Your Guide. This was a 3 hours biking tour through the countryside culminating into a waterfall where you get to dive into the fresh water and refresh yourself. It costed Euro 127.88 for 4 adults which I thought was expensive for a bike ride. But, after the wonderful experience for me and my family I think it was worth it. We took the afternoon option from 4 pm to 7 pm. There is also a morning option at 8.30 am. Out tour guide was Ms Venosha. We arrived at the Junglewala office and were made to choose our bicycles. The conditions of the bicycles were very nice and riding them was effortless. Our tour guide made us feel very comfortable and briefed us on how to change gears and what to expect in the ride. We then started on the journey. We biked through concrete main roads, but mostly through paddy fields and village roads where there was not much traffic. Most the terrain was flat and riding was effortless. So, even a non regular biker can do this tour. Ms Venosha was an excellent tour guide who kept stopping and showed us flora and fauna on the way. She gave us great information on everything which was very interesting and kept us engaged. Additionally, she told us the importance of engaging in eco tours and how we need to take care of our environment and wildlife by not introducing invasive species. Further she gave us lots of information about Langkawi. While doing all this, she was very particular about our safety and how we need to cross main roads, ride safely in inclines and ride in a straight line for traffic to pass through. The last stretch to the water fall is a bit on an upward incline but we were thrilled to be given the choice by our tour guide to hop on to a Junglewala van in case we were too tired. And yes, we were a bit tired after cycling for around half an hour so this was a very welcome move. She explained to us that it is a one way biking tour which means that while returning you don't bike back and come back in the van instead. Then she took us to the waterfall called "Durian Perangin". That was the highlight of the tour. We enjoyed so much taking a bath in the waterfall. The area around the waterfall has been very nicely developed by the tourism department with stone pathways, bridges and concrete pathways to access the waterfall at different heights and points. The water was fresh and felt do good. We enjoyed so much that we actually decided to come back to the waterfall the next day. The only disadvantage of this place is the public toilet which is really very dirty and mostly cannot be used. So, you need to take that into account for any change of clothes. Meanwhile at the water fall, our tour guide shared some very nice local pandan sweet snacks which were very tasty. I did not give 5 stars mostly because if I compare with a bike tour that we did in Penang amongst the paddy fields, I feel it was much more scenic and more cost effective. But, excellent work done by Junglewalla and our tour guide.
- MD RIFAEE J00Conservation champion…!! Excellent.Venosha (Guide) and Faris (Boat Captain) made the whole experience of the tour world class..!! Not only is Venosha very much knowledgeable about the surrounding geology but also an advocate of conservation and sustainability. Throughout the tour we are delighted to be enlightened about the rich stories behind the varied landscapes, the geological foundations behind the rocks formations and the fragile ecosystems that intertwined amidst them all. We learned so much about protecting the mangroves, one that is one of the most important ecosystems on Earth. And up close and personal with the crabs and the cave bats, were definitely highlights that stayed with us. Love to learn more from Venosha…!! Excellent tour..!!
- Daniyal2023A00Amazing experienceDear Francis, thank you to you and your team for affording us such a memorable excursion. Your experience, care and kindness will always be remembered. Wishing you all the very best. Warmest regards, Daniyal & Family

This was our second birdwatching tour with Janosha from Junglewalla tours. Again it was excellent. She went out of her way to tailor the tour to our interests and we saw some magnificent birds including all 3 species of hornbills very active in the 30 minutes before sunset. We also greatly appreciated the flexibility of our driver.
Highly recommended.

Excellent birdwatching tour. We first visited a picturesque paddy field where we got to see wading birds including a variety of egrets (little egret, intermediate egret and great egret) herons (purple heron, pond heron) and other birds (scaly breasted munia, little plover, brown shrike). The friendly roaming cows were a nice bonus!
We then visited Gunung Raya, the highest peak in Langkawi, where we saw hornbills (great hornbill, wreathed hornbill), monkeys (dusky leaf monkey, crab eating macaque), other birds species (Asian Fairy Bluebird, wagtail), and the occasional raptor. The scenery at Gunung Raya was stunning, and with the cool mist outside, the car ride up to the peak was reminiscent of a trip to Genting Highlands.
Guide Venosha had good knowledge, great spotting skills, and held very intelligent conversations about various bird species. Equipment provided was sufficient (binoculars), the car used to travel there was clean and well-maintained. On the whole, a wonderful bird-spotting tour, and one that I hope would continue to educate many about the importance of preserving the primary dipterocarp rainforest. Well done guide Venosha!

We did the afterdark rainforest tour and it was simply amazing. Lots of hornbill activity, different monkey species and we experienced fog at the top of Gunung Raya, which we enjoyed.
Then we went spotlighting and saw bats, flying squirrel, flying lemur and Tokay lizards.
Our guide Venosha is knowledgeable but more importantly is passionate about the animals and rainforest which we liked. She guided us with patience and was quick to spot animals in the rainforest.

We enjoyed the tour and saw 35 different varieties of birds. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the task of helping us spot and identify birds. It was especially good to see the weaver birds and their nests. We would have liked to go to have gone to the highest peak to see the large hornbills.

The Bird watching tour is also held in the morning as it's a great way to see the island as we were departing Langkawi in the afternoon. (Hoast dropped us off at the airport)
The hosts were very catering towards our needs as we have a your child. It was great to see that there were many varieties of birds including the impressive hornbill. The tour had provided binoculars along with refreshments during the four hour tour and we felt that it live up to its eco tour standards. Two thumbs up.
We hope to to come back to do the afternoon tour sessions in the near future as it's super educational.

Our guide Venosha was very knowledgeable, very helpful and friendly and good at spotting birds! We saw a wide range of bird species in different habitats. A good number of the species were new to me even though I have been doing a lot of birdwatching on this trip.
The organisation was very good - easy to deal with over WhatsApp and hotel pick-up/drop-off made it very easy for us.
