- U1751BJkimb0 contributionsMust do!Full day of fun! Our captian was excellent and funny! Worth every penny! A full day of fun activities. Provided lunch on the beach also deliciousWritten 18 March 2025
- snogirl10 contributionsGreat Excursion in Antigua! This was so much fun! We had some amazing staff running our boat. Highly recommend this for families and couples. Would not recommend for someone with physical impairment or sun sensitivity. There’s nothing like being on a speedboat in the Atlantic. Saw some beautiful islands, learned a rich amount of history (but not boring) and learned lots about Antiguan life. String ray city was amazing (they are not in captivity. Snorkeling of the 5 pillars was beautiful. Food was better than our resort food. But, the staff was the shining star of this great excursion!Written 16 March 2025
- Y2506FMemmam0 contributionsExtreme fun! Amazing snorkeling, beaching and boating adventure. So awesome to see whole island with such fun guides! My husband, our daughter (19 yrs) and her best friend and I had the best time with Kimba, Rashim and Tyrese-such fun and knowledgeable tour guides. Highly recommend if you want to spend a day snorkeling, checking out sting ray city and other beautiful, private spots. We saw sea turtles and two whales, too-another great, unexpected highlight. We all also enjoyed the lunch on the beach. So happy we spent one of our vacation days out on the water and would highly recommend Adventure Antigua. Thanks again to the guides who clearly love their jobs and make it so enjoyable for everyone!Written 16 March 2025
- Sofie H0 contributionsUnforgettable Island Experience!!What an action packed day! We got a bit of everything from this excursion. We were out on the water, exploring beaches, learning history of the island, snorkeling with turtles and stingrays, it just never ended! The crew was so fun - Shout out to Captian Dave, Brendan, and Mark! We had so much fun with them and they really cared that we were having a good time! Big Dave was the one that sold us on this tour and he really nailed it! We told him what we were looking for and he made it happen. If you’re on the beach and run in to a guy named Big Dave, book through him!Written 12 March 2025
- Lauren E0 contributionsWonderful trip!Wonderful excursion! Crew was awesome and the food was delicious! My entire family had a great experience! Highly recommend this tour if you are visiting the island.Written 10 March 2025

- melissavM7508SU0 contributionsSo much funWe had Rasheem, Brendon, and Leslie as our guides. Unfortunately it was POURING rain at the start of our adventure but these guys still managed to make it a great time. It remained cloudy throughout the day but it was awesome taking a trip around the island on a boat. These guys definitely know how to entertain. Be careful of the rum punch. When they say it’s a creeper, they really mean that. Thank you guys for the fantastic, unforgettable day. It was a blast.Written 5 March 2025
- SWASucks0 contributionsIt Is Xtreme!!!The Xtreme Circumnavigation in Antigua was a full 8 hour tour of this beautiful island. First the great stuff... 1. The staff...Leslie and Demond were awesome!!! Very knowledgeable and were serving us island information the entire journey 2. The stops...Sting Ray City, the amazing beaches, and the Pillars of Hercules for the snorkeling...all amazing!!! 3. The food...bbq chicken, pasta salad, plantains, dessert and drinks. Tasty and Plenty to go around. 4. The Rum Punch at the end, tread lightly 🍹👍😁 Second the stuff to prepare for... 1. The Caribbean Sea is Majestic blue and calm and simply amazing...the Atlantic Ocean(which they must cross to get to the stops), prepare yourself...6 to 8 foot swells, and the boat will bounce, and you will get wet!!! Hold on to your hats🤠 2. Age...I would not recommend this for children under 18...again the ride on the Atlantic can be a bit overwhelming and scary(Hence XTreme🚤😲)...also some stops you have to swim briefly to get to the beach, and the water for snorkeling at the Pillars of Hercules was quite wavey and a little rough. And it would be a very long day with the kiddos!!! Third...what to bring... 1. Sunscreen!!! 2. A dry bag(for cash, phone, and anything else you want dry) 3. Towels and beach bag, they will store these in the boats dry compartment between stops, and you have access to them at the stops 4. They provide snorkeling gear or bring your own 5. Maybe light snacks for the morning(power bar), lunch will fill you up 6. Tip money...these guys work hard, please tip accordingly!!! Conclusion... Amazing Day with my wife and the staff and the stops will give us and you a life time of memories!!! Highly recommend!!!Written 5 March 2025
- lisaaA8108JX0 contributionsAmazing Day on the Water! My husband and I had an amazing time on this powerboat ride around the coastline of Antigua! Our hosts, Captain David, Tyrese and Kimba(aka Bugs Bunny) were excellent! They took the time to explain all the places we were passing by and stopping at, and were so incredibly friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and made sure everybody was having a great time and that they made it on and off the boat safely! Sting Ray City was a neat experience of snorkeling with sting rays and fish in their natural environment (no cages)! You can hold a sting ray and get a photo if you wish. The lunch on the beach was absolutely delicious as was the rum punch! The scenery on the ride and at the stops was just breath taking! It was an awesome day! I highly recommend this tour!Written 4 March 2025

- Seze670 contributionsHighly recommend! A must do whilst in Antigu! The most amazing experience. Just the six of us on board and it totally exceeded expectations. This was 100% down to David and Tyrese (our captain and mate) they were attentive, knowledgeable and above all such great fun! Would highly recommend - worth every penny!Written 27 February 2025
- Azizah M0 contributionsExploring Antigua with the best !Hands down the best tour I’ve ever done! Travelled solo for my birthday and this was the perfect day out. Pick up was on time and easy. Desmond, Tyrese and Kimba made the tour so much more fun and exciting. They pointed out and explained everything to us along the way and as a solo traveler, they made me feel sooo welcome. The stop at Stingray city was really nice. The lunch stop was relaxing and refreshing and the food was delicious! I didn’t snorkel, but the stop at rendezvous beach was heavenly. It is called ‘Xtreme’ for a reason- it could get a lil bumpy but they handle it so well & it’s all part of the fun! Had a really nice time exploring the island with these guys. Highly recommend !Written 26 February 2025
- pamelat520 contributionsVacation excursionWe had an amazing day on the water with Capt Dave, Bugs and Tyrese! The boat excursion and all the stops were fabulous. The history provided to the group as we soared by homes and spots on the island was great. Capt Dave and crew took care to make sure all passengers had a wonderful time. We stopped at some great sights to snorkel. We saw giant turtles, birds native to the island and stingrays to hold (if you wanted too). Highly recommend this high speed round the island boat tour. We also got to see a sailing regatta go by that we couldn’t have planned if we wanted too.. It was truly an awesome experience!!!Written 25 February 2025

We rented a half day private charter to go snorkeling and tour around some of Antigua's fun water spots. We were a party of 14 that included my 91 year old mother and my 15 month old granddaughter! From my first email making the arrangements for this tour to when the crew dropped us off after our day on the ocean they could not have been more helpful or friendly. Every time I called or emailed I received a quick response. The email directions preparing us for our day were spot on and we found the boat pick up spot very easily. And their pricing was very reasonable and their boat in very good shape!
But what I really want to highlight is the 3 man crew we had headed by Captain David along with his crew Tyrese and Adino. This crew could not have been more helpful(try getting a 91 yr old woman in the water to snorkel!) or more fun! They shared so much about their beautiful island with us during our cruise, they were very focused on our safety and boy did we laugh! It was a PERFECT day. If you want to tour the the Island via a boat this is the company to use ! Thank you so much for giving us such a wonderful day!

This is a fabulous island tour full of information, adventure and old fashioned fun. We were collected promptly from jolly harbour and then travelled along the coast picking up a few other guests . The boat was in excellent condition and the crew were very experienced, knowledgeable and fun. There were about 22 of us with plenty of space to sit in sun or shade ( our day was a bit stormy ) I must clarify that the crew were very particular in giving us exact information regarding the day’s itinerary. They were also clear as to the options regarding each activity.
My hubby and I loved the adventure at Hells gate , there was the choice of chilling on the boat, snorkelling near the boat or doing the cave walk . The cave walk was amazing and I’d defo recommend doing it.
We had a fabulous lunch, two snorkel stops and rum punch when all the activities were complete . Our three crew were wonderful and worked as a great team . We were glad to be the last to get dropped off as it gave us more time to spend chilling and drinking Rum punch .
Fab value, and highly recommended.

Strong points: fun day on the water, excellent lunch and drinks included, Hell's Gate Island hike was the highlight, and seeing 2 dolphins close to the boat; good value for money.
Areas for improvement: Location for snorkelling (near Long Bay) was not very good; it was too open with very strong currents. We've lived in Antigua for over 2 years and enjoyed better snorkelling at many other places. If snorkelling is important, choose a tour to Cades Reef. Also, a suggestion for improvement: Antigua's greatest Eco-success is the ongoing biodiversity renewal project on Antigua's third island: Redonda. I would suggest the team include a 3 or 4 minute explanation of the project and its success story as part of this eco-tour.

Thank you for your review. Cades is 26 miles from the North East Marine Management Area which is where the tour you were on is based.
The redonda project is one of many going on. The eag runs that project which we are very familiar with as we've been going there for 25 years to explore redonda during the off season. Flora and Fauna international managed the eradication of rats and sheep from redonda and they did that job nearly 20 years after doing the same thing in the area you did the Eco Tour. It was the beautiful islands of the North Sound that first benefited from the rat eradication.
Obviously we need to discuss that project a bit more and we'll discuss that with the team.
The quality of snorkeling in the North Sound is very weather influenced and more so than over at cades which is on the volcanic side of Antigua that has less sand. The Sand and silt can get stirred up in the swells that come from time to time from nor'Easters during the winter. Both areas can be great. Cades is way way way more affected by wind and chop though.
Thanx for the feedback.

We really enjoyed this tour which included several North coast islands. The talks about the local heritage and habitat were extremely informative, but also left enough time to be off the boat for walking on the beach, snorkelling. A very fun day from around 9am to 2:30pm
If you’re staying at Sandals I can recommend booking through Isaac on the beach, who will do a price lower than Sandals 😁

We booked the Eco tour ahead of time, got VERY detailed instructions on where and when to meet and also cost. Paid a $50 deposit and the rest was due in cash on the boat, BUT they would discount that by 10% if we paid cash, excellent we thought.
The day of our cruise ship arrival happened and by then we had made friends with a couple of the ship, so we invited them to come along...guess what? They paid LESS than we did, AFTER we had our so called discount ! That didn't sit well at all with us... Captain David, Bradley and Lesley the crew were excellent though and we tipped them for a good day, but the experience left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth i must admit.

Hold on there a second. If you booked direct with us then it's impossible that anyone paid less than you.
You loved the guys, and enjoyed your day but give a three star review because you were told that you paid more than your friends. Again, this isn't possible.
I am the owner and will go and wait for your email if you would please let me know more details. I think you got bad info from your friends and as a result then gave a 3 star review. Either way, I would like to find out more details so I can figure out what went down. Hope to hear from you. I've been in biz for over 23 years and don't play games with price which is why this is very disturbing to me. Hope to hear from you. Thanks. Eli

Next time we go to Antigua, we will choose a land tour, or just taxi to a beach. The day on the boat in and out of the water was nice enough, but we were disappointed with the snorkeling. Visibility was not great in the deeper places they took us. I was excited to do the "longer" swim / snorkel with our guide, but there just wasn't a whole lot to see. It was more like a swim, with snorkel & fins.
The lunch was good, with our feet in the water. That stop at Great Bird Island was the best part of the trip. Very pretty, and birds everywhere!
They took us to Hell's Gate also, where some chose to hike up and walk across the volcanic rock "bridge". It looks really cool, but it was HOT that day, so we chose to stay in the water.
The crew was nice.
* Be sure to ask everyone around the specified pickup area if they are with Adventure Antigua, so that you don't get left behind. We were in the exact spot they told us to meet, and actually thought we were the only two from our cruise ship on this tour, because nobody else was around. I guess they picked up the other couples a little closer to the cruise ship, and we couldn't see their boat past the two big catamarans parked at the marina. But it all worked out.

This was a great tour but not for the faint of heart or those with mobility challenges. I would also not recommend if you are prone to sea sickness. We walked off the cruise ship down the boardwalk about 5-10 minutes to the meeting point. On board the boat they have you take off your shoes and stow your bags in the hold. They have snorkel equipment and life jackets and water socks but no towels so bring a few. It is also good to bring a quick-dry shirt or possibly a windbreaker. The climb up and down Hells Gate was challenging but short. You may also want to pack bandaids and neosporin since the rocks are very sharp. The guides were fantastic helping us navigate the cave and climbs safely. Hells gate and the boat ride there in choppy seas with lots of spray were both very exciting. Other than that, it was very mellow. We stopped by the mangroves only 5-10 minutes. Then we had lunch/optional shallow snorkel in a secluded cove for an hour. After that there was another chance to snorkel by a reef. We saw several sea turtles from the boat. They saw fish and rays while snorkeling. On the way back they serve rum punch and dessert. They did use reusable plates and forks, but hopefully in future will use reusable cups as well and recycle the cans and bottles. Crew did a great job. Sit on the seats that face backward or the central island seats if you don’t want to get wet. Snorkeling is optional.

We did the Eco Tour and it was fantastic!!! Adino, Arion and Shakimba were our crew and they went above and beyond in every way possible. The boat was a 52" Jet boat so could get closer to the shore for pickup drop off than those with outboards could. It was super comfortable. We went snorkeling twice which was awesome. Some hiked others just relaxed onboard. Drinks were provided as was an excellent lunch onboard. The captain, Adino I believe but if I'm wrong forgive me!) was excellent. He explained all about the biology of the various species of seas turtles found around Antigua. We visited several nice beach areas and reefs. This is one a the best tours I have taken. The group was great the weather excellent. 5 stars is not enough!!!!

I went on the eco tour with my pre-teen and teen, and this boat trip entertained all of us ever single minute! At first, we took in the beautiful north-east coastline of Antigua while riding out to different islands and hearing about the wildlife (including the rich people who have settled Long Island). We then headed to Devil's Bridge where we snorkeled around (rather than hiking up it as some others did). Here we saw, among other magical things, squid swimming in beautiful synchronized motion. Next we rode to Great Bird Island (my kids still tease me for calling it Big Bird Island...) and were fed a delicious lunch. Two of us are veggies and had plenty of choices (pasta, leafy salad, plantains and a green banana salad). We even had a little time to swim here and saw a sea cucumber and a huge hermit crab in a conch. After lunch, we went to the reef off of Great Bird Island and that was simply magical. It would have been nice to spend a bit more time there, because this was the most special spot in terms of snorkeling. There was an option to stay near or on the boat, but the crew offered life jackets to less strong swimmers, so even they were able to experience all the wonder. The crew (Tyrese and Adion - spelling?) were really fun and nice, had constant banter with my 12yo. We loved them! The whole tour was magical, we are so happy we did it. The day flew by and it gave us so many amazing memories. Did I even mention the sea turtles we saw from the boat?

This was my third visit to Antigua and my third time with Adventure Antigua. The first time I took a tour with Adventure Antigua, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Well, that first experience was good enough to get me to book two more times. If you are arriving by cruise ship (like I was), you only have to walk a few minutes from the pier and right near the ship to get picked up. This is a top notch company with a top notch crew and boats. The 3 different tours offered by Adventure Antigua offer something for everyone. It’s really nice to get off the ship and not be with an organized excursion with dozens of people. Adventure Antigua keeps the numbers small on each tour so you get personalized service. The crew will literally do anything you ask and they will offer you drinks, etc. during the tour. I have done the Eco tour and the Extreme tour and I can’t say enough about them. Once you experience one of Adventure Antigua’s tours, you’ll be booking more cruises that visit Antigua. Apart from the thrilling and custom built boats, the stops around the island will make your jaw drop as the scenery is nothing short of amazing. I can never get enough of that “Caribbean Blue” color that surrounds the island. If that’s not enough to make your day, you will be served an appetizing lunch on a remote Island where you eat right at the waters edge. We enjoyed watching Sea Turtles surface for air right in front of where lunch was served. These tours are like no other that you experienced from a cruise ship before. This is how tours should be operated. Thanks for another “Best day ever” experience, Adventure Antigua!
