Ok - go do this! Such fun and education, and you come away with your own bottle of rum. This is great education, great tastings and then make your own. Cannot get enough - this is not some run of the mill thing to do on an island adventure tourist trap. This is genuine and real. We had much fun. Spend the extra and do individual even if you are a couple. The. Go across the street and hang at loose cannon.

We had so much fun making our own 'rum in the sun'! With the beach next door and surrounded by the trees whose coconuts are used in one of the rums, it was a great way to spend a few hours. Of course the tasting was amazing too!

This was one of the experiences I was most looking forward to on my recent trip to Antigua. I love rum and who wouldn’t love an opportunity to learn and make their own personal rum?!? The experience was great. Our instructor was very knowledgeable and made the experience very enjoyable! He ensured we understood and enjoyed each part of the class. We were able to taste 6 rum flavor options and in addition, rum in its purest form. There were also about 11 flavor options to choose from to concoct our own personal flavored rum. The site was located next to a restaurant and a gorgeous beach. Great opportunities for photos. They also offer additional rum options for purchase. At the end of the experience you have a wonderful souvenir, your personal bottle of rum in which you bottle and wax seal and you are given a certificate for making it through this amazing experience, certifying you as “Master of Rum”!! Can’t wait to return and would definitely recommend as a solo or shared experience!!

Before arriving in Antigua I was looking for something unique to do on my husband’s birthday. I found the academy of rum and since we both enjoy rum thought it would be a fun time. We were not disappointed! We learned how to make rum and the process involved. After tasting 5 different rums, we began making our own with input from Henry, AJ and a lovely young lady whose name escapes me after rum on an empty stomach. Lol. It was such a fun, unique time. We would highly recommend attending a class. You will definitely not be disappointed. If we find ourselves in Antigua again, we’ll definitely be stopping by to say hi. (And buy another bottle or 2 of their delicious spiced rum)

Only learned about this the day before attending and hoped it was going to be as good as the reviews made out. I'm very pleased to say that it certainly was! The hosts Henry and AJ were great, along with the lady whose name escapes me. They told us a little bit about rum making, and how the rums that they make differ from that of the mass-market ones. To start it was trying 5 shots of rum that they made to see which one we preferred. Whilst doing this the clear rum was being distilled right in front of us with it dripping into a beaker ready for us later. We then got into tasting all the different flavours of rum that could be used. Bear in mind these are 40% in themselves so certainly its a very boozy experience! It was good fun trying out all the different flavours and making them come together for your final choice. I did start out all technical, 10ml of this, 5ml of that etc, but that quickly went by the wayside! The class was all very well explained and ended up with a bottle of rum, created by myself and with a label on marking all the ingredients inside it. Overall a great, and unique experience and certainly one I would recommend. I had arrived to English Harbour by bus. After doing a hike, I took the water taxi across. Due to having to be back on the cruise ship for a certain time, time was a bit short. I enquired with the guys who told me that Goodwin could drive me back across to Nelsons Dockyard to await the bus. However after a short while when the bus wasn't coming, he drove me over a 1/3 of the way back to another bus stop where I could catch either the 15 or 17. He certainly didn't need to do this and wouldn't accept any money. Many thanks Goodwin!

This class was awesome. The hosts were very knowledgeable and funny. We learned so much about the history of rum and how to make the rum. Then we each got to make our own bottle using whatever flavors we chose. There was also a tasting before we made our own, of each of the flavors that they make there and of the base rum that comes out of the stills. This helped us decided what flavors we liked so we could chose the right things for our own bottle. At the end, you label your rum and then seal it with wax and take it home. I would definitely recommend this activity! We had a great time.

This was an Awesome fun experience, well put together, fully engaged, getting to make your own bottle of rum to take away. I enjoyed every moment, yes I loved the take away rum as well as making my own unique bottle. I would do this again and again.

Set just back from a beach with a bar. We were a bit early so enjoyed a cocktail before starting. The owners were knowledgeable and we all had a good time, coming away with our own bottle of handcrafted rum

A.J. and Henry were great. Fun learning experience and tasting event. The guys were very upbeat and made the experience very enjoyable. Something unique and different. The setting was super cool. Open air under roof so you could enjoy the weather and music from the beach. Got to make a bottle of our own rum and buy some of their local made product. The guys were not pushy about buying anything. I hope they grow the business and expand to Colorado as planned. I would highly recommend this experience to everyone even if you aren’t a big Rum drinker.

Amazing experience!! The guys were phenomenal, they were both knowledgeable, engaging and made the experience very entertaining. Honestly, cannot say enough good things about it!! Definitely well worth it and we will be back for sure.

This is a unique and thoroughly enjoyable experience which should not be missed by anyone visiting the island, whether they are into rum or not. AJ and Henry are very likeable and enthusiastic guys, and such good communicators that they draw you in and immerse you in the art or rum making, guiding you every step of the way. We'd urge everyone to give it a go - it's tremendous fun!

What a great experience! I found this the day before and am so glad I did! It was just three of us and as a solo traveler it was cool and to bond with them. I learned so much and am excited to try my bottle. Henry and AJ were awesome. Do this tour for sure !
