Go off-road in buggy that fits 5 people during this 4.5-hour adventure from Punta Cana. Led by a local adventure guide, follow an off-road trail into the countryside, stopping at a typical Dominican home to taste local coffee and cacao. Travel past colorful houses and across a landscape of banana plantations and farmland filled with sheep, cows and pigs. Get fantastic views of the rugged coastline on the way to the Fantasy Cave and Bedrock City, a Flinstones-themed attraction. All equipment and round-trip transportation from Punta Cana hotels are included.

What to Expect
This amazing tour starts at a conveniently located ranch in the heart of Bavaro. Once you arrive, a guide will go over the safety and operation of the vehicles. You will be driving your own automatic “caravan-style” buggy following the tour guide who will lead the group.

The "Flintstones Buggy Trail" has a length of 10 kilometers and takes you through a variety of vegetation and rocky, hill-formations. The trail leads straight through the countryside where you can see donkeys, cows, horses, sheep and pigs!

After about 25 minutes of driving you'll arrive at your first stop - a typical Dominican house and the local comado (a small grocery store) where you will have the opportunity to taste some real Dominican coffee and cocoa. Immerse yourself into the Dominican culture as you join locals from the countryside doing their daily shopping.

Next, continue off-road on your buggy and enjoy breathtaking views. You'll travel past colorful houses and across the amazing landscape of banana plantations and farmland. Your next stop is at the “Cave of Fantasy”!

Walk almost to the end of the cave, through magnificent and huge illuminated stalactites and stalagmites. You'll learn about the legend of the “Hidden Princess” and all of her secrets! This is not a public cave so it is accessible only to your tour.

After exploring "Fantasy Cave", you will go up the stairs to Bedrock City! Bedrock City is another group of caves that are located above the large cave, a rare combination and therefore, very unique! Why the name Bedrock City? Well, here you see the villa of Fred Flintstone, the garage with the Flintstone Mobile and much more.

After around 35 minutes spent inside the cave it will be time to go back to the Bavaro ranch. Here the guests will have the opportunity to buy the pictures from the excursion and other souvenirs or enjoy a Dominican-flavored drinks at the bar.

Wear the suggested gear and you'll have fun! Really enjoyed the bumpy, dirty ride to the village where we received a little information about the culture outside of the city. Then on to the cave that was spectacular. The staff made the cave tour fun,...More
