          Excellent driver
Our Flight arrived an hour late and we had to clear immigration and custom but our driver patiently waited for us. The drive from Yogyakarta to Borobudur was long and winding and dark but he confidently and expertly made it a pleasant one!

          Yogjakarta and surrounds
Thoroughly enjoyed Yogjakarta and the surrounding Borobadur and Prabanan. Note to tourist temples are closed Mondays but they still charge the same amount. I hired a local guide for Borobadur and he was very knowledgeable.

          Great experience at Dieng Plateau
We had a great time during this trip. However, the day started a bit shaky as there was a miscommunication between the agency and the driver. The driver originally assigned to us didn't know about our trip. A replacement driver was assigned and we started an hour late. But that didn't hamper our trip. We visited Ratapan Angin, Arjuna temple, and the Sikidang Crater. Each place was amazing. Our driver Bejo was great and was very fun to drive along with.

          We had a great tour.
We were very pleased with the entire trip, and especially want to praise our driver/guide, Tony. He was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire very long day trip. He helped us change our ticket for Borobudur to the full package that allowed us to climb the monument, even though this would up extending our trip by several hours, with no additional pay for him. His driving was excellent, and we really enjoyed the long drive high up into the mountains to the Dieng Plateau. He was friendly without being intrusive, and helpful at every turn. He made the experience really wonderful, and we want to praise him in the highest terms.

          Heaps good!
I went to Waterbom in 2017 and I loved it. Went again this year and loved it again! It was a day full of fun. I hope to be back again soon!

          A day for temples
Lots of temples fit into one day, we could even try those ones which were not on the original itinerary.

          Perfect minus the weather
This was a beautiful tour except for the fact that it rained the whole time. The temples were beautiful, our guides friendly and attentive, and it was just too bad that it tipped it down the whole time and that put a dampener on the experience.

          Breathtaking Sunrise
The sunrise at Borobudur was terrific. It was very atmospheric waiting for the sun and the majesty of seeing the structure you are on top of at first light was brilliant. The post-sunrise breakfast was surprisingly well-stocked. The second part of the day (a jeep ride up a volcano) was not so successful since the weather was very cloudy obscuring the views. The driver and our guide still did a really good job telling us the history of the volcano and showing us some sights though.

          Borobudur Sunrise and Mt. Merapi
The sunrise experience at Borobudur was incredible and I would highly recommend it. If you are booking this tour though you should know what to expect- you are basically booking a driver, not a tour guide. They pick you up at your hotel around 3:30am and drive you to Borobudur. You are then told to walk up to the temple and you just have to follow the crowds of people- definitely walk up right away and don't dawdle because you want to get a good spot to view the sunrise. The driver doesn't come with you and so you don't actually have a tour guide of the temple (this is what I did not realize when booking the tour). So you watch the sunrise and then explore the temple on your own. After that there is a buffet breakfast and then the driver takes you to Mt. Merapi where you get a new driver for the Jeep portion of the tour. This part is just OK and I wouldn't personally recommend it. It was cloudy so we didn't see the view of the top of Mt. Merapi- maybe if the weather is better it would be worth it. Anyway overall I would just recommend the sunrise tour of Borobudur and skip the rest.

          Borobudur Temples and Mt. Merapi
Fantastic tour and guide. Perfect for seeing the two main sites near Magelang. Sunrise at the temple is worth it, then a Jeep ride up an active volcano after.

          Once In A Lifetime Tour
This tour is incredible. Anang picked us up on time from our hotel in Yogyacarta and drove us around for the duration of the day. The sunrise at Borobudur is remarkable. I've never experienced anything like it in my life. We visited several other small temples before going to Prambanan, which is an equally impressive sight. I 100% recommend this to anyone looking to do a day tour in the Yogyacarta area.

          Very nice driver
Our Tour was very cool. The Sunrise was beautiful but you have to Be early to get a good seat with a good view. Because a lot of People want to watch the sunrise. The breakfast was suprising yummy and they had fresh cooked eggs and omelett, fruits and traditional Indonesian Food. After that we went to 2 little temple also really beautiful, BUT be careful! On the Street there are a lot of women selling souvenirs and clothes. They are really annoying and persistent. And they want to force you buying something. The Jeep Tour was ok and the driver Wants to take hundreds of Photos of us but that was very Sweet and funny. All in all everthing was Fine and interesting and its worth it to book this Tour. But only the sunrise Borobudur would be enough. Our driver of the hole Tour was pretty amazing and he told us a lot about the culture.

          Friendly, professional tour.
Anang was my driver for this trip. The entire tour was about 15 hours. He was very helpful and took his time to show me around Borobudur and Dieng. I really appreciated that he showed me around a local village near the Borobudur temple— I was able to see the home of an elderly woman and had tea with coconut sugar she made. Anang also took me to some unplanned sites—like the Dieng volcanic complex and Telaga Warna lake. Be sure to wear warm clothing to see the sunrise at Borobudur and pack some snacks. There were minor language barriers but nothing major. All in all, I had a great time seeing the great sites—thanks, Anang!

There are monuments and there are monuments... and this one is simply incredible. We had a great guide to show us round: Dani made it a memorable visit with his fund of stories and a deep involvement that drew us in.

This was a great tour at a good price! We knew we didn't need a whole day to see Borobudur, so this half day looked perfect, and it was. We were picked up early at 8 by our driver, who took us to Borobudur. It wasn't too busy - Monday is a good day to go. The tour had arranged for an English-speaking guide, who met us once we had passed inside. The guide was extremely informative and took us on a fascinating hour-long winding walk up to the top of the temple, then left us to enjoy the rest of our time.

Once we were done, we met up with our driver again and we were off to two smaller temples nearby, Pawon, then Mendut. Right next to Mendut temple is a Buddhist monastery which I highly recommend stopping by.

All in all a well-scheduled and organized tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. After the main temple we visited a civit coffee cafe - coffee was delicious. Our whole trip was very pleasant and informative. Our guide was just great. Highly recommended.

Driver was fine and temple is incredibly impressive but we had expected/hoped to be to go up the stairs to the temple and thought we had purchased a guided tour. Apparently our “Regular” ticket did not cover these, though we got to skip the lines, which was nice. You can still walk around the outside of the temple but a bit confusing of a ticket access process would be my feedback.

My guide was wonderful! He was a good source of information on the details and the history of Borobudur and surrounding temples. As a solo traveler, he was also a good source of conversation! He went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and doing what I wanted to do to get the most out of the experience.
